This lovely detached cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Knockmore, close to the beautiful shores of Lough Conn, between the towns of Ballina and Castlebar, County Mayo. This lovely cottage is ideal for couples and groups of friends looking for a relaxing break in the great outdoors with many activities and attractions on your doorstep. The cottage is all on the ground floor with a well-equipped fitted kitchen and an adjoining living room with dining area and open fire. Relax in the evening with a glass of wine in the comfortable sitting room where you can curl up beside a further open fire. Three double bedrooms and family bathroom complete the accommodation. There is an enclosed courtyard garden room with furniture where you can relax with a book and a refreshing drink whilst planning days out. Take a short walk to the edge of the village where you'll catch your first glimpse of Lough Conn with the towering Nephin mountain in the background. Travel a short distance to Pontoon Bridge, which traverses a narrow waterway linking Lough Conn and Lough Cullin. The mighty River Moy, famed for its salmon fishing, flows from Lough Cullin to its final destination at Ballina. Explore the many sandy inlets around Lough Conn or take a stroll through Drummin Wood. Drive west to Castlebar and on to the bustling town of Westport, where you will enjoy the many pubs, cafes and restaurants and savour the local tradition and culture. Take a day sightseeing in Ballina and on to the wonderful beach at Enniscrone where sky meets sea. You must not leave this area without a visit to Foxford and its famed woollen mills. Here you will enjoy wonderful crafts on offer and relax in the adjoining restaurant. Knockmore village is an ideal place to start your Irish adventure.
