Villa Teal is a characterful five-bedroom villa nestled into the hillside on the Greek island of Mykonos. Main stand-out features include a private infinity pool and sun terrace – both boasting breath-taking views of the Aegean Sea, which they look out to. You have the best of both worlds with this villa – it’s set in a quiet location, yet you’re only a 15-minute drive from Mykonos Town.

This family-friendly white-fronted villa combines classic Greek features like blue wooden shutters with modern décor. Inside, there are rustic wood-beamed ceilings, fresh white walls and soft contemporary furnishings. The living room and separate dining room are comfortable and spacious with plenty of places to sit and relax, and the latter opens onto the outdoor dining area.

There you can take a cooling dip in the glistening infinity pool, sunbathe on the adjacent sun beds, or seek out one of the shaded corners and make use of the wood-fired BBQ. Swim to the water’s edge, and you’ll be rewarded with those superb views over the sea below (spectacular by sunset too). We also love the fact that you can dine al fresco while soaking in the Mediterranean ambience.

After a day of exploring, there are five inviting bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms to sink into. Take your pick from one super king, one queen, four singles and a double sofa bed. There’s Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout the villa, and towels are toiletries are provided for your convenience.

Part of a secluded complex, during your stay at Villa Teal you have access to a private dock and the sea, alongside on-site management, 24/7 security and daily cleaning staff. It’s a short 400-metre walk to the nearest sandy beach where there are shops, restaurants and tavernas. Ideally placed for exploring the local area, you’re also about ten minutes’ drive to the Archaeological Museum of Mykonos with historical artefacts, and Lena’s House, a museum set in a typical Mykonian home.

Mykonos is a charming island in the Aegean Sea and provides the ideal holiday for families, friends and couples alike. Think classic Greek architecture, a welcoming atmosphere and pristine sandy beaches with calm, clear waters that are perfect for swimming. It’s close to the unspoilt islands of Delos and Rhenia where you can go diving or snorkelling and explore the mysterious coves.

In Mykonos Town itself, you can get lost in the enchanting warren of streets, dotted with vibrant bougainvillaea and lined with quaint churches, restaurants and boutique shops. The Archaeological Museum is worth your while, as is the whitewashed Tourliani Monastery, just off the main square. The shopping is excellent too. For art lovers, there’s Mavrogenous Street or Little Venice – a beautiful waterfront location that’s excellent for browsing clothes, jewellery and souvenirs.

For the adventure seekers, Mykonos has plenty of caves and wrecks for both beginner and advanced scuba divers. The island also has a hilly interior, and you can hire mountain bikes to explore more of the traditional villages and country roads that are off the beaten track. For swimming and days spent chilling on the sand, 25 beautiful beaches fringe the island. You can also try your hand at adrenalin-packed water sport activities such as jet skiing or wakeboarding.

From Mykonos, you can take a day trip to the Mykonos Windmills – an iconic cluster of white 16th-century windmills in the town Chora, 3.5km from the villa. They’re popular to visit in the evening as their spot on the coast offers magnificent views of the sunset and the sea.
