The coast is 100m from the villa, but it's rocky there so not easy to access. Nearby Loutraki Beach is a 350m walk and it's a 20 minutes walk (1.7km) to the beach and tavernas at Marathi. The nearest airport is Chania (9km), whereby Heraklion Airport is 145km away. 17 km from Chania town it's a great position for families. Heraklion has an old bazaar with a host of shops and restaurants.
Nearby places to visit include the Agios Nikolas Church at Souda, the Fort of Koules, the Chapel of St John the Baptist, and the natural area of the Kyharis Rover. Heraklion and the ancient site of Knosos are just over a two hour drive away.
