About this property

Gaze at the shimmering blue seas from your terrace and infinity pool, discover the sweet Mediterranean scents from your garden and wander down to the nearby beach and fantastic restaurants. The contemporary and stylish Villa Azure, located between Monaco and Nice, has everything you could wish for in the French Riviera whether you’re looking for a memorable family holiday or a villa to enjoy with good friends.

The position of Villa Azure on a hillside just above the seaside town of Eze-sur-Mer means the sea views are particularly striking. It’s all about outdoor living here with a beautifully decked swimming pool, wonderful terraces and a superb summer kitchen which even has its own bar and TV, not that you will be able to tear your eyes away from the panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean as you sip your apéritif straight from the wine cooler.

The gardens are a delightful and perhaps unexpected feature of the villa. Seek shade under a lemon tree, take a stroll to discover the almond and hazelnut trees and pick oranges and grapefruits from the terraced groves. Head through the jasmine pergola and you will find a swing and slide that will delight younger visitors.

Set over two floors, the interior of the villa has been designed with contemporary style and a few characterful and quirky features, always making the most of the stretching views of the sea. The kitchen has everything you would expect including an impressive AGA and there are large picture book windows which open on to a terrace with stunning sea-views. An en-suite double on this level also has its own balcony and beautiful sea views.

On the lower garden level you’ll find a TV den with comfy sofas, also an ideal playroom for kids wishing to escape the afternoon sun. The three bedrooms on this level are colourful and pretty with doors opening up to the gardens or terraces, some with glimpses of the sea. Extras such as air-conditioning throughout, Wi-Fi and satellite TV are added home-comforts.

New for 2020, the higher rental price includes a lovely 2-bedroom apartment set just above the villa. Enjoying wonderful sea-views from every room, this is ideal for accompanying family or perhaps older teens.

You can wander down the hill to Eze-Sur-Mer in under twenty minutes where you will find two beach restaurants including the exclusive Anjuna, known to be one of the best places to eat on the French Riviera.

There’s watersports on the beach, cafès and even a train station which will whisk you away to Monaco within a few minutes. Keen walkers can hike up to the stunning medieval village of Eze with shady squares, narrow lanes and mesmerizing views. Fine diners will appreciate the Michelin starred Chevre D’Or as well as other restaurants with amazing sea views.

Beautiful Beaulieu is just a ten-minute drive away with its palm fringed beach, glitzy boutiques and excellent restaurants, where you can experience all the glamour of the French Riviera, whilst Nice is just a little further.

There’s a wealth of activities in the area such as tennis, cycling and golf plus a great variety of watersports. In the evening you can discover the exciting nightlife from casinos to prestigious bars and clubs as well as the excellent places to dine across the region.

Even with the French Riviera on your doorstep, as you gaze at the deep blue Mediterranean from the poolside terrace, summer kitchen or relaxing gardens it will be hard to leave your blissful surroundings.

Villa Azure is situated in a residential area on the hillside above Eze-sur-Mer beach (0.5km), about a 15-20 minutes steep walk down to the beach, where you will also find some great beach restaurants, including the well-known Anjuna, cafès and watersport facilities. The beach has smooth pebbles and shallow waters for paddling or fine, calm waters for swimming. There is a train station here as well which connects you to Monaco within a few minutes.

There’s an interesting botanic garden to visit just above the village with stunning vistas as well as a diverse range of plants and flowers. The village can get busy in the summer so head there early to avoid the searing sun and enjoy it at its best.

Beautiful Beaulieu is just a ten-minute drive away with its palm fringed beaches, glitzy boutiques and excellent restaurants, where you can experience all the glamour of the French Riviera.  There are two beaches here, each with fine shingle, good facilities and lovely calm waters. The setting of Plage de la Petite Afrique is particularly stunning.

Amazing villa. Customer service was good considering the amount of work that they would have had during lockdown.

The villa is set in very extensive grounds with plenty of shade. It is at the top of Eze sur Mer up a very steep road that is a good 20 minutes of aerobic exercise! The villa is very well made with thick walls and generous space in the lounge and the kitchen which is very nice and easy to eat in as well. There is also a mini building with shower tables and chairs barbecue etc at the end of the large infinity pool. Good air conditioning throughout and individual room controls. We had a really lovely family holiday with great food mainly acquired in the markets, bakeries and SuperU supermarket in a Beaulieu-sur-Mer which is 10 mins away. Thank you again for the champagne Sancerre and provisions that were in the villa.
