In a quiet and relaxing location not far from the perfume capital of Grasse and only a short stroll to your local bakery, shops and restaurants, the beautiful Bois Fleuri is a lovely home, perfect for a special holiday with family or friends in this captivating part of southern France.
You’ll feel the welcoming ambience in this delightful villa, thoughtfully styled with both tradition and comfort in mind with sweet homely touches throughout. There are three bright bedrooms with air-conditioning on the ground floor whilst upstairs is a pretty double bedroom under the eaves with an ensuite shower room.
The kitchen has everything you may need to prepare a feast using the very best ingredients from a local market and there’s no better place to dine than the lovely al-fresco terrace under the canopy, a place for long leisurely lunches by the pool or enjoying good local wine with the company of loved ones as the night draws in.
The verdant gardens are totally enclosed, featuring splashes of Mediterranean colour and scents of Provence. Play a game of pétanque, take a refreshing dip in the glorious swimming pool or simply laze in the summer sun, this is a fantastic place to unwind in enchanting surroundings.
In a peaceful residential area, you can wander down to the nearby boulangerie for your morning croissants or eat out in one of the local restaurants within walking distance. It’s also just a short drive from some of the region’s most charming villages and towns from sleepy Spéracèdes in the hills to the wonderful town of Grasse. Across this area you’ll see landscapes of olive groves, vineyards, fields of lavender and rolling hills; this is the quintessential hinterland of the French Riviera.
Yet you are only half an hour from the stunning beaches of the Côte d’Azur and the glamour of beautiful Cannes. Watersport enthusiasts can try out a number of activities even closer at Lac de Cassien whilst golf-lovers have a great choice of incredible courses within a short drive. Whether hiking, cycling or horse-riding, you’ll find amazing places to explore both in the stunning interiors and along the exquisite coast.
Bois Fleuri is in a peaceful residential area only 800m from a bakery, a couple of restaurants and two supermarkets as well as some other shops. The local tennis club is also within walking distance.
Here you are in the hinterlands of the French Riviera where within a few minutes by car you have landscapes of olive groves, vineyards, rolling hills and beautiful forests. You are surrounded by wonderful small villages within a short drive such as sleepy Spéracèdes in the hills, a great spot for lunch (and try the local olive oil!), neighbouring Cabris (5km), a popular place for writers and artists past and present and pretty Peymeinade (4km) where there are some lovely walks along the Canal de la Siagne. A little further is wonderful town of Grasse (10km), known for its perfume heritage and amazing fields of lavender.
From many of these villages you have views down to Lac de Saint-Cassien (12km). It’s only 15 minutes by car to the lake where there is carp fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, pedalos, paddle boats and beaches for swimming and picnics. There are also some wonderful hidden trails through the wild landscape.
Head even further inland to the mountainous interior and enjoy breath-taking views of the whole riviera from Gourdon (22km). Swim from the rocks in Gorges du Loup (22km) or head north to wonderful Caussols (24km) you will find an observatory in this amazing spot.
Other archetypal villages towards the coast include Opio (16km), Valbonne (19km), Mougins (17km) and Biot (32km), all perfect places to stop off for a leisurely lunch or evening meal in atmospheric surroundings.
Beautiful and stylish Cannes is around 23km away, where you can explore La Croisette, the famous glamourous promenade, the vibrant nightclubs and the lovely beaches here and across this wonderful coastline.
Mandelieu La Napoule (20km), just a little south-west of Cannes, is an alternative, beautiful cultural hub with a rugged and rocky coastline that drops dramatically into the sea. A little further south at Théoule-sur-Mer (29km), enjoy the beautiful beach with its wonderful red cliffs.
The region offers fantastic opportunities for horse-riding, hiking and cycling as well as a wealth of family-friendly activities, from go-karting and paintballing at Plateau de la Saree (16km) near Grasse to water-sports and waterparks in Antibes (33km) When in Antibes, don’t miss the old town as well as some of the chic bars in Juan-les-Pins just to the south.
Those who enjoy a day of golf are utterly spoilt for choice in this region, with the Royal Mougins (19km) only 30 minutes away or a choice even nearer at Golf Du Claux Amic Sa (8km) and Golf Grande Bastide (14km) near Opio.
