Things to do on the door step are endless…nearby villages, prehistoric Tautavel, world-renowned vineyards, plenty of open-air sports like cycling, hiking and rock-climbing and the Mediterranean sea is just 25 minutes away.

Villa Plein Air enjoys a peaceful and very private location in the heart of the Pyrenees-Orientales, just 30mins from Perpignan centre and its international airport. This is a vibrant city close to the Spanish border with an interesting Catalan and North-African influence. Crossed by the river Basse, the charming medieval centre is built around the majestic Palace of the Kings of Majorca, with several gardens, squares and narrow streets all swarming with cafes, restaurants and shops. For a taste of a different Perpignan, don't forget to explore the Arab Quarter and Place Cassanyes.
The local village can be easily reached in a 5-minutes walk and offers all basic amenities, including a restaurant. It is the perfect base to explore the natural surroundings and spend long days out hiking and biking or strolling around the countless traditional french villages.
The pretty historic town of Tautavel where the homonymous "Homme de Tautavel" was first discovered in 1971, is a must: visit the famous Arago Cave and the internationally renowned Prehistoric Museum.
This area is also famous for its high-quality vineyards, with plenty of guided tours and tastings available. Furthermore, the Mediterranean coast is less than half an hour away.
