About this property

Set on a hill with gentle valley views of the landscapes of the Midi-Pyrénées, Vue Pastorale is a charming and traditional dwelling which has been beautifully restored to provide a characterful holiday home with its own heated swimming pool.

With white stone exteriors and wood-beamed ceilings, this is an authentic rural home where the owners have created a warm and welcoming environment with picture book windows making the most of the lovely views. There are two living rooms, one with a wood-burning fire for cosy evenings and a wonderfully spacious kitchen-diner where feasts can be served as you gaze out towards the countryside.

The six bedrooms, two on each floor, have been styled individually with splashes of warm colour and pretty furnishings and there are two extra beds on a mezzanine level just above one of the living rooms. Families will love the table football here as well as the ping pong outside whilst parents will appreciate the fantastic 6-person jacuzzi and sauna in the relaxation area.

There are various terraces and shaded patios where you can sit, take in the views or relax in the serene surroundings with only the sounds of the countryside around you. There’s a characterful barbecue area for rustic al-fresco dining and the heated swimming pool has a particularly magical setting in the restored ruins of a 13th century castle.

The house sits in over a hectare of wooded, hilly grounds and its perched position affords beautiful views. Take a walk along the domain’s pathways passing century-old oaks before returning to your terrace where you can sip wine as the sun sets, admiring the relaxing scenery.

Vue Pastorale is located in Tarn-et-Garonne, near the borders of Gers and Haute-Garonne, a region known for its idyllic villages, rural way of life and amazing local gastronomy. Only 3km away, the local village has been classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ with its medieval architecture and half-timbered houses.

Discover some of the region’s finest market towns, such as Fleurance and Lectoure within half an hour where you can pick up all sorts of regional delights, whilst other picturesque villages nearby include Beaumont-de-Lomagne and Auvillar.

Auch, with its incredible cathedral and Montauban with its wonderful central square are also amazing day trips within an hour, not forgetting fabulous Toulouse with its historic centre and brilliant Cité de l’Espace.

Surrounded by over a hectare of wooded grounds and farmland beyond, Vue Pastorale is situated in the heart of the Midi-Pyrénées in south-west France in Tarn-et-Garonne, near the borders of Gers and Haute-Garonne. It’s set on a hill overlooking the beautiful valley.

Vue Pastorale is only a five-minute drive from one of France’s classified ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, a bastide village with half-timbered houses and medieval buildings. There’s also a local restaurant here, as well as a choice of others within a five-minute drive and further afield. In the summer there are often donkey rides here for the little ones.

On a Monday morning head to the market in Mauvezin (8km) where you will also find the nearest supermarket. Other beautiful villages nearby include Beaumont-de-Lomagne (15km) with its Saturday morning market, Auvillar (42km), another ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and the little village of Brignemont (9km) with its impressive windmill.

Heading over the border into The Gers, the market towns of Fleurance (25km) and Lectoure (33km) are amazing places to pick up all sorts of local delights at their weekly morning markets, both a short drive away. Indeed, this region is famous for its excellent local gastronomy which you will be able to experience at shops, restaurants and markets across the area.

As well as being a wonderful region for hiking and cycling, there is a wealth of outdoor activities including various tree-top activity centres within 45 minutes. Closer to home there's a great leisure park within 3km where there's an outdoor pool with impressive slides and water features as well as mini-golf, pentanque and volleyball courts.

For further exploring, the city of Auch (38km) can be reached in just over 30 minutes with its old quarter raised high above the Gers river and its incredible cathedral.

Just north of Toulouse is the medieval town of Montauban (50km) with its central arcaded square filled with cafes and restaurants, visiting the museums or biking/walking by the Canal de Montech.

We had a great weekend in this house which has everything you need to spend a great relaxing and enjoyable time in the middle of the peaceful countryside. Jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool, large lounges, large terraces, plancha... Everything is there to make a dream holiday. The decor is tasteful and the owners are adorable

A little bit of paradise with large spaces to spend pleasant moments with friends, family, lovers... Its comfort and layout make it possible to share moments regardless of how many people there are. A super spot where relaxation beckons you on arrival in this magical place ... Not to mention the owners, discreet, amazing and kind....

The estate is located at the top of a hill, it offers a magnificent panorama of the countryside. Stone, beams, ruins of the old castle mingled with large glazed areas, several shady terraces, a nice pool, a very nice sauna, a huge jacuzzi... not to mention the kindness of the owners who have renovated this property, what a talent!
