This elegant Chateau has recently been fully restored and it now offers a perfect place to enjoy the pleasures of South West France and the Dordogne valley.

The Chateau sleeps up to 20 guests in pure luxury. There are 6 bedrooms in the Chateau including a 2 bedroom apartment. There is also a Chateau Coach House which is linked directly to the Chateau and offers three beautiful additional bedrooms, again all en-suite. There is the possibility of adding an extra bed on request at an additional surcharge.

The reception rooms are large and numerous. In the Chateau there is a formal dining room as well as a drawing room and more relaxed living room. The kitchen is stunning and well equipped.

The Coach House is linked to the Chateau and has stunning views over the lake. The accommodation throughout is luxurious and has 3 more bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful living room which opens up to a large terrace and an Orangerie.

The heated saltwater swimming pool has an infinity end with views over the lake and private grounds. In total, there are 7 hectares of land which includes large terraces, formal gardens, beautiful lawns, a lake, fields and woodland.

The bastide town of Eymet is just 3kms away from Chateau Lacan with shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly market. The Dordogne river-side town of Bergerac is just a 25 minute drive to the North.

It is an ideal holiday home for families and groups in search of tranquillity and privacy while being in easy reach of the interesting activities that the Dordogne has to offer.

The Dordogne valley is well known for its abundance of vineyards, including Monbazillac, Pecharment and Bergerac AOCs. There are activities to suit all ages and interests. Foodies will enjoy the great local restaurants at the heart of France's centre of gastronomic excellence, as well as the wine of AOC Bergerac.

The area has been described as the capital of world prehistory, and culture vultures are spoiled for choice with caves, museums and chateaux aplenty. Home to 1500 castles, Roman ruins and the famous caves of Lascaux (in which prehistoric cave paintings have been hidden for over 17,000 years), the Dordogne has a huge variety of activities to offer.

Distances

The Chateau is just 25 minutes south of Bergerac making it an easy final destination.

Bergerac has its own International Airport.

The vibrant city of Bordeaux is 1hr 30 minutes away, with a larger International Airport servicing even more UK and Worldwide destinations.

In addition, Toulouse Airport is approximately 1hr 30 mins drive to the south - again a large International Airport.

The TGV station at Libourne connects with Paris.
