Perched in an incredible, privileged position, with stunning views over the Lima valley and the sea, Villa Cleonice is a majestic modern delight in the fabulous rural landscape of Minho, near to Ponte de Lima and Peneda Geres National Park.
The interiors have been designed to maximise your enjoyment of these unbeatable views, with glass panels replacing most exterior walls! The style is somewhat Scandinavian, with totally sleek and modern furniture, tasteful décor and a fabulous open-plan design. The kitchen is well equipped and connects to the living room which has doors opening onto a large covered balcony, ideal for alfresco dining.
We can happily arrange for a chef to prepare traditional Portuguese cuisine for you, on request. Housekeeping is also included, so you can sit back and relax on your holiday and focus on the important things! The ideal spot for a little relaxation in the evenings is the fabulous traditional games room, with a cosy seating area by the fireplace, a pool table and table football! This is a perfect hang-out spot for late night entertainment!
There are four bedrooms in total, including three doubles and a twin room. The styles are similarly minimalist and sophisticated, and two even have access to the incredible balcony, with the same breath-taking views! All four bedrooms have private ensuite facilities, one of which includes a luxurious whirlpool bath in addition to a shower, providing you with a little extra space and privacy!
Outside you can enjoy a beautiful maze of well-kept gardens and of course, a fabulous private pool! The multi-layered terraces and secluded seating areas are the perfect spot for relaxation, dining and socialising, all with magnificent views!
Kick back in a sun-lounger by the pool or sip a cocktail on the balcony as you admire these spectacular views of the Minho countryside, with its beautiful Romanesque churches and historic buildings across the horizon! There’s a little play area on the lawn that the kids with love, and tons of little nooks and crannies for them to explore!

Ponte de Lima, one of Portugal’s oldest and most historic towns with a delightful range of shops, bars and restaurants among the ornate squares and cobbled alleyways, and a massive market on the river bank every other Monday, is 14km away.
The country’s only National Park, the high nature reserve of Peneda Geres National Park is just a 40-minute drive away and hosts prehistoric remains, walking trails and rugged hills as well as deer, wolves and golden eagles!
The delightful market town of Barcelos is just half an hour away, while the beautiful historic centre of Viana do Castelo is even closer, where there are even sandy beaches! The thriving town of Braga, the capital of the district, is about 37km away and hosts many relics of the region’s diverse history. With so much on your doorstep, you can visit a new historic and beautiful town every day!
Minho is a fantastic, mostly rural region on the northernmost Atlantic tip of Portugal, bordering the Spanish region of Galiza, with which it shares many attributes. Minho is perhaps most famous as the home of the Vinho Verde, a crisp, dry white wine (although as the name suggests, it is, in fact, green!) best enjoyed with a local fish dish.
Portugal itself is a small, fascinating country at the most Western point of mainland Europe. With a vast coastline with the mighty Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a real paradise for the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try it for the first time. And for those less keen on surfing, the beaches of Portugal are still well worth a visit for their beautifully clear waters and beautiful sands.
