Villa Pieros is a stylish five-bedroomed villa on Cyprus’s stunning eastern coast. The villa is in a prime elevated position overlooking the popular resort town of Protaras and the sweeping sandy coastline. Protaras itself is known for its scenic coastline including Fig Tree Bay – a soft sandy beach with shallow and calm waters – and Cape Greco National Park with a myriad of walking and cycling trails that take in fantastic nature views. There’s also exciting Hellenistic tombs to explore and laid-back tavernas serving everything from freshly-caught seafood to classic mezes and moussaka. When you’ve had your fill of adventuring, know that the villa with its comfy beds, light décor and cooling air conditioning awaits. Kick back on the sofa in the living room or unwind in the Jacuzzi bath.
Décor across the villa is an elegant blend of classic and contemporary with dark wood furniture, light cream-coloured walls and rustic stone features. There’s an open-plan living room, bathroom and twin bedroom on the ground floor, while on the first floor you’ll find the other four double bedrooms – all with picture-worthy sea views. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a spa-like Jacuzzi, walk-in wardrobe and balcony and all rooms boast plenty of storage space.
Outside, the spacious pool and garden terrace is also equipped with a charming alfresco dining table, barbeque and shaded spots for when you need some reprieve from the warm Mediterranean sun. There is soft grass – perfect for children to play or to read – while tall palm trees and a wicker-roofed pergola add tropical vibes. The grounds are surrounded by trees for privacy and tranquillity.
Villa Pieros is located in the east coast of Cyprus, in the Pernera area. Nearby, you will find Protaras, a popular resort town tucked away in eastern Cyprus. This beautiful part of the island is renowned for its soft sandy beaches, traditional Greek tavernas and interesting Hellenistic sites. One of the most scenic beaches is Fig Tree Bay with its old, lone fig tree. Cape Greco National Forest Park with its clear waters and protected pine forest trails is a also a must visit. You can walk, cycle or horse ride the route for fantastic nature, sea and coastal cliff views. To the northwest is the limestone Church of Profitis Ilias, it marks one end of a nature trail that leads to Konnos Beach.
Kalamies beach is also popular spot and is ideal for beach games, snorkelling or relaxing in the sun. You can part in water sports like pedaloes, windsurfing and jet skiing or head to one of the water parks. Lively Ayia Napa, with its famous water park, is just down the road (about an 18-minute drive away). Arriving to the villa from Larnaca Airport? No worries. It’s a short 64km drive.
When it’s time to take a break from the beach, the small shops and market stalls in Protaras centre are perfect for picking up souvenirs. In-between, stop for a refreshing drink or bite to eat at one of the restaurants, bars or cafés. By night, Protaras comes alive. Try your hand at karaoke or sip on cocktails. For more livelier nightlife still, Ayia Napa is the place to be. It’s one of the party capitals of the world, so there are plenty of nightclubs and bars where you can dance till dawn.
For the scuba divers, Cape Greco in Ayia Napa is a top choice. It has a huge variety of exciting caves, rock formations and canyons to explore. For a dose of history and culture instead, head to the capital of Nicosia (about an hour and 20-minute’ drive) and check out some of the amazing buildings including Selimiye Mosque and the pretty old town with its sandstone Venetian walls.
