Built with traditional, white stone from the island of Brac, Casa Rafaela offers a welcoming and traditional atmosphere as you approach. The entire property was renovated in 2007, now fitted with top quality furnishings and appliances to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with traditional wooden furniture, sofas and a piano. The room is bright and airy, with windows allowing Mediterranean sunlight to flood in. The dining room is furnished in a similar style with traditional furniture offering an element of grandeur to the space. There also a study fitted out in a same style. The kitchen can also be found on the ground floor, fully-equipped for your use, although with the town centre so close, you may wish to dine out every night on local seafood and wine! The kitchen also includes a unique, indoor pizza oven, perfect for fun family meals. Stepping up to the first floor, there are three spacious, double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, and two bathrooms. There is also access out onto a beautiful terrace, with space to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, whilst enjoying the breath-taking view of the harbour.
For an extra component of luxury, the lower ground floor boasts a full sauna, where the last of your worries can melt away, before you take a dip in the glistening waters of the private, outdoor pool to cool off! Outside the villa, the charm of the architecture and local materials is evident, there is a truly relaxing atmosphere to all the outdoor spaces. Just imagine yourself enjoying an aperitif or two on the terrace, before heading into Split for a romantic meal – what more could you want?!
Casa Rafaela is situated in the residential area Meje on the outskirts of the park-forest Marjan, only a 5-minute walk to the Diocletian palace and the Split town centre. Being situated near Marjan hill there are many cycling paths and hiking trails, perfect for those who love the outdoors, so you can escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, whilst still being close enough to enjoy the tourist attractions and authentic restaurants should you choose to. The nearest public beaches are about a 15-minute walk away.
Split is Croatia’s second largest city and is a great base for exploring all that Croatia has to offer. Always buzzing, Split is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. Step inside Diocletian’s Palace (a Unesco World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) and you’ll see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops thriving amid the atmospheric old walls where Split life has been humming along for thousands of years. Split offers a fabulous balance of tradition and modernity, creating a fun, exciting atmosphere perfect for a holiday away. It is well worth taking a ferry to visit some of nearby islands such as Hvar, Korcula and Brac and the stunning Croatian beaches.
