    About this property

The exquisite Villa Polly is infused with contemporary style and offers a wide range of facilities. Located in the old part of the coastal village of Mimice, just 800m from the beach, this 4-bedroom villa can accommodate eight guests and includes an 8m x 4m outdoor pool with a stunning view of the Adriatic.

A spacious sun terrace surrounds the pool and is the ideal place to enjoy the reliably warm Croatian climate. You have an outdoor dining area with barbecue too, still in view of the sea and with direct access to the kitchen – making it perfect for entertaining friends.

The kitchen has everything you could want or need, including a dishwasher and microwave, and the little things like an ice cream maker, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and wine cooler. On the lower ground floor, you’ll find a luxurious living room with comfy seating, satellite TV, PlayStation 4, music system and tasteful furnishings. This room leads out onto a covered lounge area with exit to the pool area and sea view.

Stairs take you down to a king-size bedroom with en suite, and a gym with treadmill, bench and exercise bike. More stairs take you up to a mezzanine level where the master bedroom comes complete with en suite bath tub and shower, TV and walk-in wardrobe. On the upper level are two more en suite bedrooms, a king and a double, placed far apart for extra privacy.

This delightful villa is just a short stroll from the amenities of the village, with a restaurant, bar and mini-market within 400m. All sorts of excursions are possible from this location, with nearby Omiš a centre for exhilarating sports and relaxing by the river. The magnificent city of Split, home of Diocletian’s Palace and a whole lot more, is around 30 minutes’ drive from Mimice, while the beautiful Krka National Park and its famous seven waterfalls are not too much further. Boat trips to islands like Brač are another fine way to spend your day, and easy to arrange with the owner.

Around 12km east of Omiš, Mimice is an attractive spot on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, looking out towards the large island of Brač. It lies around 30 minutes’ drive from Makarska and one hour from Split.

Omiš sits at the mouth of the Cetina River. It has a long and rich history, with stories of the town’s notorious pirates running amok in the Middle Ages among those you are bound to discover. In the 13th and 14th century, they were the most-feared in the Adriatic, and used the river to make a quick getaway after attacking passing trade ships. In summer, Pirate Night tours are a popular attraction, telling tales of the pirates in a more family-friendly way.

Omiš is a pleasant place to spend your time with lovely beaches and a wealth of great restaurants and cafés. It’s visually impressive, with steep cliffs providing a backdrop to the Old Town, where you can find a Franciscan monastery and several old churches, in addition to the Mirabella fortress, dating from the 13th century. At the top of the mountain, there is also the Starigrad fortress – it’s quite a climb, but a rewarding one.

Olive groves and vineyards lend their magic to the beautiful areas which surround the town, and the Cetina gives you the opportunity to try out water-sports like rafting, canyoning and canoeing. Omiš is something of a cultural hub too. The town hosts festivals celebrating music and theatre on a regular basis, with an annual highlight being the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas each summer.
