A charming manor in the countryside, Villa Sutika is the ideal home for an active, playful and curious family or group of friends. Built in 1817, this exquisite villa possesses the delightful characteristics of a traditional farmhouse, with the massive garden to go with it!
Renovated in 2006, the house has an incredibly comfortable interior. The vast living room is built in an open plan style with the dining area and kitchen, creating a warm and friendly space.
There are a couple of large sofas and several comfortable chairs in front of the TV and the cosy fireplace. The kitchen is spacious, with a large American style fridge/freezer among the array of modern appliances.
There is a dining table between the two areas. There’s even a games area, complete with a pool table and table football set to keep the kids (and big kids!) entertained on a rainy day!
There are four sublime bedrooms. On each of the first and second floors, there is one double and one twin room, and the levels are divided by an elegant, floral staircase. Each is styled in the same rustic fashion, with exposed stone walls, wooden beams overhead and classical furniture.
The beds are large and intricately designed, sitting upon floors of flawlessly polished wood. All four have dazzling ensuite facilities, with bright and modern décor.
Outside you’ll find a vast 10000 m2 fenced garden, filled with all kinds of fun and games – a trampoline sits alongside a play area with a swing, seesaw and slide, a mini football pitch, a badminton net and the large terrace.
On the terrace, you’re spoilt for choice – with a whirlpool bath for six alongside the vast swimming pool, both utterly special thanks to the rustic and beautiful wall around the garden.
The surrounding towns and villages embody a perfect blend of local traditions and a modern lifestyle, and you can nip in and out of them on the bikes provided for you.
Just half an hour away from Učka Nature Park, a sprawling protected area with hiking routes leading to canyons, waterfalls and historic sites, you’ll find unspoilt nature a stone’s throw away.
One-third of the Istrian territory is forested, and the rest is carpeted with vineyards, olive trees, pastures and orchards, with ancient walled cities perched atop hills in the mountainous landscape, so you need merely stroll out your front door to find the richness of Istria.
