Tucked among the forests and fields, slightly inland from the beautiful Adriatic coastline, Villa Draga offers spacious, luxurious living for up to eight lucky guests! Built in just 2017, this is a modern villa, with smooth, sophisticated interior design and delightfully spacious rooms.

The large living area is a vast room where you can gather the whole group for a little quality time together – with an L-shaped sofa in front of the TV, directly beside the dining table.

Along one side of the wall is the highly modern, stylish fitted kitchen, with all the appliances you could wish for to make cooking a breeze. The two other walls are naturally large glass doors which lead to the delightful terrace outside and fill the space with warm, natural light.

There are three double bedrooms, all on this same floor. All three rooms feature large, comfortable double beds and plenty of space for settling in and finding a little moment of peace in private. Each has a fabulous ensuite bathroom, two of which have large walk-in showers and one which even has a bathtub. There is also a guest WC in the entrance hallway.

The garden itself is a spacious delight, with a fabulous private pool at its centre. Around the pool you will find plenty of sun-loungers, so you can dip in and out of the pool as you please to cool off from the famous Croatian sunshine!

Nearby, on the delightful lawn down the quaint little pathway, are children’s entertainment facilities, including swings and a giant trampoline! You can keep a close eye on the youngsters from the comfort of a lounger on the terrace.

On the veranda, there is also a casual seating area, a great place to enjoy a coffee in the fresh morning sun, and even an alfresco dining area complete with a barbeque!

Croatia’s first ever water park, Istralandia, with tons of water-slides and pools of all kinds, is just four minutes away! This puts you just a stone’s throw from one of the most excellent children’s entertainment centres in the country and will ensure you never have a moment of boredom!

The Slovenian border is also around fifteen minutes away, and the Italian border about 20 minutes further – so why not check out a couple of other countries while you’re here?  

For outdoor adventures a little closer to home, one third of the Istrian territory is forested and the rest is carpeted with vineyards, olive trees, pastures and orchards, with ancient walled cities perched atop hills in the mountainous landscape, so you need merely stroll out of your front door to find the richness of Istria.

Villa Draga is ideally placed to enjoy both the beaches and towns of the Adriatic coast, as well as the beautiful Istrian interior.  

Less than 4km away is the town of Novigrad with a beautiful Marina, while nearby Poreč is a town of culture, tourism, sport and entertainment, with one of the most important Western Byzantine churches outside of Italy – and it’s also the party hub of the peninsula!

A charming heart-shaped peninsula in the north-west of Croatia, Istria is warm, welcoming and perfectly-sized – you can drive the length in around an hour, putting everything within easy reach!

From breath-taking scenery, rich history and a world-famous culinary scene – you will find it all in Istria! As a former part of the Venetian Republic, this region has seen many rulers from the Romans, Byzantines and Austro-Hungarians to the Italians and Yugoslavians. Now, a myriad of enchanting towns and villages, rich in history and culture, are nestled among the undulating countryside.

Active holiday-makers will be delighted with the offerings: from windsurfing in Medulin to scuba diving in the Brijuni National park and rock climbing, hang-gliding and walking in Buzet along the 15km ‘seven waterfalls’ walk, Istria has it all.

Both along the dramatic coastal paths and in the mountains inland, you will find an abundance of natural paths for cycling (including the scenic Parenzana route over an old railway line from Viznada to the Slovenian border) and rugged off-road hiking trails. Pick up a trail-map from any of the Tourist Offices, for loads of well-marked routes around the coast and in the Cape Kamenjak.

Much like its neighbouring Italy, Istria is a gastronome’s paradise, home to world-class cuisine and endless rows of vineyards. Be sure to try the local wines, which are often sweet and fruity, using a wide variety of grapes including white Malvasia, red Terrano and Moscato.

Istria is especially famous for its truffles, which you will find served with any dish and sauce! Truffle flavoured olive oil is a typical product of the region, and indeed, you will hardly find a village which does not have its own Olive oil ‘supermarket’!

Both Rijeka and Pula have international airports within a short drive of the villa, while Pula is the central hub for those getting ferries, although there is a daily ferry between Poreč and Venice.
