Villa Lingo is a sophisticated villa in northern Istria. With two beautifully furnished bedrooms, the villa can accommodate four guests in complete comfort. Located in the peaceful village of Punta, it’s the perfect place to escape to the beautiful Croatian countryside, enjoying some quiet time with your loved ones.
Upon entering the villa, the layout guides you through the hallway towards the stylish open-plan living area. A large sofa and comfortable armchair frame the space, positioned opposite the huge flat screen television and fireplace. This is a cosy space where you can enjoy a glass of chilled wine and unwind into the evening. Behind the sofa, a large dining table can seat all the guests. Placed under the warm glow of the beautiful chandelier, the wooden dining table provides a relaxed ambience to any evening meals. The kitchen completes the open-plan space, with a spacious island unit and plenty of cupboards, there is more than enough room for several cooks to contribute. The island unit is an excellent addition as it allows cooks to chat and laugh facing the rest of the group relaxing on the sofa or waiting by the dining table.
An elegant marble staircase leads towards the two double bedrooms. Each bedroom is uniquely styled with feature walls and its own en-suite shower room. The rooms are filled with charming furnishings, which work extremely well with the décor. These include, wardrobes and drawers so you can unpack with ease. The en-suites are spacious and again elegant in their finish.
Outside, the patio doors open out to the private pool and terrace area. The walls, combined with the peaceful location of the villa, ensure that guests have complete privacy while enjoying the amazing Croatian weather from the comfort of sun loungers. Be sure to take a dip in the pool for a sure way to cool off in the hotter hours of the day. Otherwise, the shaded chill-out area offers some respite from the sun, with its outdoor sofa, chairs and table, it’s also the perfect spot to enjoy some al fresco dining. For guests who love to barbecue, the well-equipped outdoor kitchen is also a real treat!
Villa Lingo can be found in the small village of Punta, in the heart of Istria. The area offers breathtaking scenery, as Istria remains one of Europe’s great unspoiled lands. The dramatic landscape boasts rugged mountains and refreshing pine forests, it is nature at its very best! The local restaurant is an ideal spot to try some of the local delicacies, be sure to try the strudel before you leave!
Istria is famed for its culinary heritage, as one of the best spots in Europe to find truffles and the huge Italian influence has made the area stand out for its cuisine. A big part of this heritage is olive oil, with olive farms throughout Istria, take a tour and learn how olive oil is made and why Istrians claim it is the best in the world!
The nearby town of Grožnjan is a beautiful town to wander the streets of. The narrow and winding roads offer a glimpse of medieval Croatia. With lots of tavernas and restaurants, it’s a great place to explore come evening time. Throughout the summer, Grožnjan comes to life with the arts. Artists and musicians from all over the world come to the small town for the many workshops and schools running throughout the summer, the town really comes to life with the sound of music!
For a trip to the coast, the quaint town of Novigrad is less than a thirty-minute drive away. With a small marina and fishing harbour, it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and spot the fisherman return to shore with the days catch. There are some excellent restaurants in Novigrad, so you can enjoy a full evening of delight with those you care most about under the canopy of stars. Be sure to check to see what is going on before your visit as there are frequent food festivals around the town.
Throughout Istria there is no shortage of adventure activities, the breathtaking landscape offers plenty of opportunities for cycling, walking and even climbing. All along the coast, there are spots for cliff jumping, and scuba diving, just be sure to check with the tourist office of the very best spots!
