Villa Siblia is a charmingly restored Dalmatian farmhouse situated on the upper slopes of the picturesque harbour town of Mlini. Commanding exquisite vistas over the glittering Adriatic and nestled amidst some beautiful countryside, it is difficult to imagine a more quintessentially mediterranean setting. The villa itself is heaven; it offers a range of luxury features and is characterized by a feel of elegance and tranquillity.

The backdrop of Villa Siblia is phenomenal. Green hills stretch into silhouettes on the horizon and provide an enviable back-drop to the turquoise shimmer of the Adriatic below. The air is heavy with the fragrance of pine and cypress trees and the atmosphere is one of easy serenity.

 The villa itself is an enchanting blend of the old and the new, fusing as it does a rustic farmhouse feel with state of the art facilities as well as understated, chic interiors. The exterior is quaint and attractive with pine-green shutters prettily complementing the Dalmatian stone walls. On the ground floor is located the appealing living room/kitchen which offers a spacious and airy place for the group to socialise and relax. This thoughtfully decorated space is a lovely ensemble of stylish furnishings, pale walls and splashes of contrasting colour.  The living-room features an inviting L-shaped sofa, a dining-table and eye-catching chandeliers. The kitchen area is pristine-white and equipped with all modern appliances as well as a useful bar.  All of the furniture in this living space is sourced locally and adds to the air of authenticity at Villa Sanela.

Upstairs the villas three bedrooms are furnished in soft colours and striking art-work, making them both elegant and inviting. Two of the bedrooms have double beds whilst in one room the bed can be split into two singles.

Outside, Siblia continues to impress with its glorious sun terrace, gorgeous seating areas and fabulous pool. There is a dreamy Dalmatian pergola festooned with vines and set over a lovely sofa area which is perfect for reading or napping. Fringed by colourful flower beds, this spot leads to the luxurious 8-man Jacuzzi where guests will cool off after happy afternoons basking in the sun. This fantastic feature is just metres way from the large pool with its tempting array of sun-loungers and umbrellas. The eye for detail on the terrace is impressive and colourful potted plants and pretty lanterns adorn the area.

The whole setting is gloriously enriched by mesmerising views out to sea while positioned just back from the pool, is the excellent roofed eating area and barbecue, perfect for blissful al-fresco dining.

Villa Siblia is located in the hills overlooking the picturesque fishing village of Mlini. It is just a seven-minute walk from the Mlini harbour and seafront. The beautiful and venerated city of Dubrovnik is only a 15-minute drive away (11.4 Km), whilst the ancient Hellenistic town of Cavtat is also easily accessible (9Km).

Mlini itself is a delightful village of authentic stone houses and some beautiful churches. The natural setting of the village is spectacular - lush mediterranean greenery and pine covered hills surround the village’s pebble beaches and shady promenades. The place hums with quiet serenity and visitors will love exploring the floral gardens and scenic coves dotted around Mlini bay.  

There are plentiful culinary opportunities down at the seafront and guests can feast on fresh fish and organic wine in any number of lively local restaurants.

Mlini also boasts some enticing local beaches, most notably Mlini and Srebreno. Both are within easy walking distance from Villa Siblia and offer shady pebble beaches and shallow jade waters, making them perfect for family excursions. For those more inclined towards cultural exploration, the nearby Church of St Rocco, (1.5Km) is a must.

Just a short drive from Mlini is situated the glorious and ancient city of Dubrovnik. Described by George Bernard Shaw as ‘paradise on earth,’ Dubrovnik is frequently described as one of the most beautiful cities on earth, as evidenced by its status as an unesco world heritage site. Once the prosperous capital of the ancient republic of Ragusa, Dubrovnik is a maze of aristocratic piazzas, baroque churches and medieval fortresses. It is a resplendent example of an archaic walled city and provided the setting for much of the popular ‘Game of Thrones’ series. Dubrovnik is home to the oldest arboretum in the world as well as Europe’s third oldest pharmacy. Visitors of Dubrovnik must be sure to visit the city’s ‘Rectors palace’ as well as the fascinating Maritime museum. A trip up Mount Srd on the city’s cable car is also an unforgettable experience.
