About this property
… on a working farm about 2 miles from Rockbourne, four cottages well converted from old farm buildings. You are welcome to wander the farm (beef/arable) with its bluebell wood and large pond (part fenced, children beware) and sometimes help out, when possible. Hard tennis court. Home-cooked ready meals available, by arrangement. Shop, 1 mile; pub, 2. Comfortable holiday homes which are well suited to a family of up to 21 people when booked together.
Breaches Barn: Own private lawned garden (table/chairs) overlooking countryside. Inside, the features of the building have been carefully preserved, with the style of a medieval great hall and original hay chutes (safely shielded) on the landing. Two steps up to huge, open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, freezer) with high raftered ceilings and exposed brickwork and timbers, woodburner, squashy sofas (one converts to double sofa bed), big pine table/chairs, TV/DVD and glazed doors to garden. Utility room (washing machine, tumble drier). Ground floor shower-room (suite). Stairs up to three bedrooms (limited clothes-hanging space) – a double (5’ bed) with en suite shower-room (suite), a twin, and a room with three singles. Galleried sitting area (TV) with single bed plus pull-out truckle. Bathroom (suite).
