About this property

This beautifully converted chapel nestles amongst the peaceful Cornish countryside, uniquely situated between the idyllic Bodmin Moor and the popular North Cornwall beaches, the most locally being Trebarwith Strand near Tintagel, dog friendly with rock pools for the younger children and surf for the more adventurous.

Enjoying a tranquil rural location and stunning modern decor, use Moor View Chapel as the relaxing base for that much-needed break away. Step into the rustic utility room, touched with charming exposed stonework, use this layout to take off your muddy boots and coats, or even store your bikes and surf boards. Here you will also find the washing machine should you need it. Moor View Chapel is also situated on the National Cycle Network which connects to the Camel Trail, a picturesque off road, virtually level trail that leads, (via several pubs and cafes!), to the popular fishing port of Padstow. Upon entering the main accommodation, the stunning oak staircase leads to the living area, thoughtfully sitting on the first floor of the property, allowing you to make the most of the splendid countryside views on offer.

This open-plan setup boasts a bright and airy feel, well-equipped with wonderful furnishings, including reclining sofas and an enticing wood burning stove for those chillier evenings, complimented by the free WiFi, Smart TV and Netflix. The exposed beams help to bring a real sense of charm. The two bedrooms sit on the ground floor, a king-size and a bunk room are fabulously furnished and provide the perfect accommodation for a family of four. The beautifully tiled family bathroom is a wonderful spot to lie and soak in a soothing bubble bath with overhead shower. To fully appreciate this calming countryside location, enjoy your morning coffee in the shingled courtyard (no graveyard!) and simply take it all in. Moor View Chapel also has its own one-acre paddock and stream, part of which is shared by the chapel's resident ponies. The entire location around Moor View Chapel is a walker's paradise. From Moor View Chapel, the breath-taking Roughtor, on Bodmin Moor, is just two miles away, well worth the trip as the views from the top are nothing short of spectacular, rewarding you with views of both the north and south coast on a clear day. Bodmin Moor has been awarded 'International Dark Sky Landscape' status, recognising its stunning night skies and minimal light pollution. Also nearby is Crowdy Reservoir, (where you can see the amazing rare phenomenon of 'Starling Murmuration' in the Autumn months), the South West Coastal Path, Lanhydrock and the Saint's Way, to name but a few, all with magnificent views to be admired. The welcoming old market town of Camelford is just three miles away, providing a selection of amenities to make for a delightful holiday base. Some of Cornwall's most popular attractions are within easy reach, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow are amongst the most notable and all promise an unforgettable visit. Other attractions include Boscastle, infamous for its devasting flood of 2004, The Eden Project, and Bude, where you will find the canal with one of the only two working sea locks in Britain. For a holiday of scenery, peace and quiet, bring your loved ones along to Moor View Chapel.

The market town of Camelford is close to Cornwall's north coast Bodmin Moor. The South West Coast Path offers scenic walking and the surrounding villages boast country inns and restaurants. The nearest beach is Trebarwith Strand around five miles away. Tintagel, Padstow and Bude are close by and are popular tourist destinations.

He quickly explained some things then left us to enjoy our holiday. Dogs settled straight in. Very comfortable and close to so many walks and sights. Highly recommend the Chapel.

  • Sharon

Very warm and cosy, it was a lovely place to come back to after a days walking. Our dogs loved it too, especially with the underfloor heating downstairs. Although we never met the owner we had friendly and helpful communications via text.

It was clean, comfortable and very cozy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. We loved that the bedrooms and bathroom were downstairs with kitchen and living room upstairs. We would definitely recommend staying here as the location is great to explore Cornwall.
