A stone-built end-terrace cottage located near the centre of Wirksworth, on the edge of the Peak District. Wander inside to the contemporary kitchen where you will enjoy preparing those appetising refreshments each day, before settling down in the lovely lounge. Snuggle up in front of the woodburner, which features a wonderful stone surround, and a view over the street to bring the outside in. Continue your nights in the traditional 'hidden cave,' a cosy little hideaway, tucked away behind the kitchen and overlooked by low lighting. Afterwards, choose from two first floor bedrooms for a peaceful night's sleep, the single bedroom boasts beams, spotlights, and lamps, all creating a quirky ambience, whilst the double room features wooden furnishings, and a Velux window; both benefiting from shared use of the bathroom with its overhead shower. In the village, visitors can explore the courtyards of the Puzzle Gardens, along with the Heritage Centre and the bordering countryside including Carsington Water, Black Rocks and the High Peak Trail. Rock climbing and cycling can be experienced here at every level, and there is fantastic walking all around. Only a short distance away, the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site in Cromford is not to be missed.

Wirksworth is a market town situated just a few miles from Matlock. The town offers a leisure centre, an art deco cinema, a weekly and monthly farmers' market. Visitors will enjoy exploring the Puzzle Gardens, along with the Heritage Centre, as well as nearby Carsington Water, Black Rocks and the High Peak Trail. In all, Wirksworth is a great location for a varied holiday.
