Trebyan is one of a row of south facing ancient cottages with 17th cent origins, set over three levels, just a hop and a skip from one of Kingsands excellent pubs. It has pretty views over rooftops to the sea. Its character starts as you enter its front door with a 58 lintel leading you into sunlight-filled dining room with limestone floor, beams, and multi-fuel stove, through to the galley kitchen with handcrafted oak worktops. Head up the half-turn stairs to the living room which has an open fire, comfy sofas (one a sofa bed) and back door to ancient back lane. At this level, there is a dear little single bedroom with another low lintel. More stairs up to a double bedroom with long views over the village and coast, and a smart beamed family bathroom. In front, there is a tiny sunny garden with garden furniture for two where more pedestrians and horse riders pass by than vehicles. Less than a minutes stroll away is the entrance to Mount Edgcumbes 800 acre estate and the Coast Path. A gem of a cottage and just right for a couple or small family.
The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with narrow streets winding between pastel-coloured cottages, lie on the Rame Peninsula just 5 miles from Plymouth

The property is perfect for us and our elderly dogs, having easy access and I beautiful little garden out front, which catches the sun all day. The cottage is comfortable and a real home from home. Everything you need is at hand and itâs very easy to settle in and just enjoy the stay. Itâs perfectly positioned for the beach, pub, shop etcâ¦I donât know what else you would want from a holiday cottage really. The property has now sold and we are crossing our fingers that the new owner continues to let it and allow dogs as we would definitely start again if we could.
