This cleverly designed, eco-friendly upside down cottage, attached to the owner's ancient dwelling, sits in a wonderfully secluded spot just 500 yards from the good food pub in the hamlet of Edmonton. A smart barn conversion, it provides stylish all year round accommodation for families to explore this lovely part of north Cornwall. On the ground floor, two comfy bedrooms, a king size double with French windows leading through to the neat garden, a twin plus a shower room. On the first floor, an attractively fitted and well-equipped kitchen for preparing tasty meals for enjoyment in the light and airy sitting room with dining area, boasting great views to one side and French windows on the other, opening out onto a balcony with smart wooden steps down to the garden. Enjoy a good book in this neat, enclosed suntrap garden at the back of the cottage or enjoy the fresh aroma of herbs in the owner kitchen garden leading to a little wood, which youre welcome to wander. Enjoy a tasty meal in Edmontons excellent good food pub, just a pleasant stroll away after fun and games on the famous camel Trail, likewise within a few minutes walk. Sort out all your holiday provisions in the lively market town of Wadebridge, which boasts plenty of good shops, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre. Theres more fine dining in the seaside town of Padstow but if you simply want to have fun on the beach, then head for the splendid Trevose peninsula beaches. Figtree Cottage is a really peaceful family retreat and a great spot for cyclists/walkers/surfers with easy access to Padstow via the Camel Trail.
The bustling market town of Wadebridge is perfectly placed alongside the ebb and flow of the River Camel, an ideal location for exploring the natural beauty of North Cornwall.

It was extremely quiet and peaceful but within walking distance of a pub with great food and also Wadebridge where there was a range of pubs and restaurants. The cottage had everything we needed with a good supply of kitchen utensils and crockery. The owner very kindly left a welcome pack which included some dishwasher and washing tablets. The terrace overlooking the garden was a sun-trap and was great for outside dining. The owner quickly responded to any queries we had and was very helpful. In conclusion, we had a fantastic holiday at a lovely cottage and we will definitely return in the future.

The owners really need to upgrade their TV to a smart TV so people can watch Netflix or something. Not a huge array of crockery or glasses either.
