The mid Devon village of Copplestone is situated in lovely green countryside, four miles from the town of Crediton and a twenty minute drive from the cathedral city of Exeter. Copplestone has a shop and pub, as well as the Copplestone Cross, which is said to mark the centre of Devon, with many believing it dates back to the 10th century. There's also a station at Copplestone, from where you can catch a train on the renowned Tarka Line.

It was in a beautiful and quiet rural setting but very close to local facilities, main roads and a train line to Barnstable and Exeter. Our hosts were very welcoming, provided a thoughtful welcome pack and were on hand if we needed anything.

The two en-suite shower rooms were great to have, and underfloor heating so comfortable. Centrally placed in Devon to be able to visit many of the surrounding areas and places of interest. A great stay.

Very comfortable, well furnished, tastefully decorated. Incredible Welcome pack. The only negative is the road leading down to Zeal Cottage. Single narrow lane, three very bad potholes, and if you met another car approaching from the other end, then a difficult reversal. Awaiting Council repair.
