The Admiral's House, formally the Ilfracombe Manor House, is situated at the edge of Ilfracombe's Harbour and consists of five beautifully converted apartments named after famous Admirals. Jellicoe boasts period features and wonderful views, with easy access to local restaurants and cafe's; ideal for couples, this retreat can be enjoyed all-year-round. Enter inside to the open-plan living area, a snug hideaway, with a sofa and arm chair resting in front of a well-equipped kitchen, for a homely place to relax. A small dining table seats two people, perfect for enjoying breakfast or a morning cup of tea, as you admire the boats and clear water right on your doorstep. Stairs lead up to a four-poster bedroom and a day bed, suitable for children under 12. Full of charm and character, you will look forward to waking up to the pleasant views, and lovely interior each day that goes by. Ilfracombe is a picturesque traditional harbour with commercial fishing still operating daily. Admiral's House overlooks the harbour and is right next to the Lifeboat station; we watched the boat being launched twice. Jellicoe is nicely appointed and, when we had a problem with the boiler, Debs was there within 15 minutes to fix it. Highly recommend!
