On the ground floor is a fully equipped, modern kitchen where you can cook up a feast before enjoying a romantic meal for two in the dining room. Or why not cosy up in front of the log burning stove with a movie on colder nights? Upstairs, there is a comfortable double bedroom with stunning original features, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath, hand basin and WC.

The enclosed patio outside is equipped with a BBQ and seating. It's the perfect place to unwind with a spot of alfresco dining on sunny days or relax with a drink after a day spent exploring the local fells. The cottage has parking for one car.

It's just a short stroll to The Watermill, a cosy local pub that has won awards for its home-cooked food. The menu here focuses on seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients, and there are plenty of fine ales to enjoy, too. There's no need to bring the car, as there are excellent bus and train links close at hand, as well as many cycling and walking routes in the Kentmere Valley, if you're feeling active.

Lovers of the outdoors can enjoy easy access to the Fells for walking, or for a more relaxing trip you can make the short journey into Windermere Village where you can enjoy an array of shops and restaurants. Or why not head for Staveley Mill Yard where you can enjoy the food and drink at Hawskhead Brewery, take a cookery class or treat yourself to a scoop or three at the ice cream parlour.

This beautiful cottage is the ideal base from which to explore the Lake District at any time of year.

The thriving Lakeland village of Staveley is situated on the eastern fringes of the Lake District National Park and offers superb access to the whole region. The beautiful Kentmere Valley is just a short walk away and with the River Kent tumbling its way through the valley to Staveley, It is very popular with mountain bikers and walkers alike.t. Close by, the bustling towns of Kendal, Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside are popular with visitors, providing a range of amenities to suit all tastes. Windermere offers boat trips, including a ferry to the Lakeside Aquarium and Grizedale Forest Park. The 'Windermere Steamboat Museum' displays a fascinating collection of boats whilst children will enjoy the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. Within easy reach of Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains, Staveley is ideally situated for exploring all that the region has to offer.
