This pretty wisteria-clad cottage sits at the heart of the ancient village of Saxlingham Nethergate and yet is just a few miles from the bustling city of Norwich. Grade 11 listed and in parts dating back to the 15th Century, the owners have created a beautiful and characterful cottage. There is a bedroom on both the ground and first floor and unusually for a cottage, the impressively beamed and vaulted sitting room is also on the first floor. With a Rayburn in the kitchen, elegant furnishings and decor, this delightful cottage is the perfect spot to relax in. The village itself is in a Conservation Area, there are some lovely walks and bike rides on the doorstep and some excellent restaurants nearby. Also within easy reach is an 18 hole golf course and carp and coarse fishing lakes.

This delightful cottage built in 1628 exudes charm! It is immaculately and lovingly kept with a private courtyard at the back of the cottage and a lovely seating area at the front. Aside from all the equipment you might need with which to cook a meal, the beds and bedding are extremely comfortable and the atmosphere speaks of a "peace which passes all understanding!" There are 11 miles of footpaths around Saxlingham Nethergate which can be accessed almost from the front door. Enjoy!

We have enjoyed a lovely sunny week in your beautiful cottage. We have been very comfortable. We explored near and far. We enjoyed a fabulous evening meal at the Wilderbeast. We went Kite flying at Caister on Sea and took a gentle stroll around Hickling broad. We can recommend "Rocky Bottoms" at West Runton for crab salad. Thank you for the treats and the extra cleaning that you have had to do between guests.
