About this property

Stunning 16th century North Wales farmhouse packed with original features, tastefully decorated and close to beaches, castles and towns. Why not have this year's holiday in a real slice of history?

This property is a real slice of history! The 16th century farmhouse, built on a Roman site, has all the traditional features you would expect from such an old property, such as a large Inglenook fireplace, exposed stone walls and oak beams. Located in the rugged and beautiful Snowdonia National Park, 5 miles from Cricieth with its imposing castle and sandy beach, and 7 1/2 miles from the pretty and bustling harbour town of Porthmadog, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to get to know North West Wales.

Just 200 yards from Lôn Eifion cycle track, which follows the railway line from Bryncir to Caernarfon, there are castles, beaches, coves, small friendly villages, and many attractions within easy distance. This ivy-covered cottage, part of Wales's history, will make your holiday extra special.

Beautiful and quirky, this property has so much history obvious all around it. Would have liked more storage in the main bedroom but there is ample in the twin bed room. Kitchen well stocked. Located in the middle of so many areas to visit in all directions, it felt like a good base to be. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and paid for 2 weeks what we had to pay for 1 week in Somerset a couple of years ago, excellent value for money. The host is lovely and on hand to help if it’s needed. There’s an extended garden section, with trees, a stream and lots of fun for our children and the dogs.
