"Enjoyable family holiday in lovely spacious cottage in picturesque area. Village needs a couple of shops for groceries etc."

"We found this house to be one of the best we've stayed in, and there have been lots! It is homely, well equipped and has obviously much thought and care devoted to it.We were a group of 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. The house accommodated this number well - the older children loved the well equipped play/games room! For a few days towards the end of the stay, there were just 2 of us in the house, but it still felt cosy and comfortable. We have been coming to this area for 40 years and absolutely love it. It has something for everyone - super beaches at Aberdovey and Tywyn; narrow guage steam railways - the famous Talyllyn Railway, but the Corris Railway, which is only open on some weekends, is well worth a visit as is the Corris Craft Centre. Of course there are plenty of walking opportunities. One of our (particularly fit!) family members ran up Cader Idris in less than an hour! Less energetic people would take much longer! The Riverside pub in the village was great - with amazing food! Asda and Tesco both provide an online delivery service. Finally, we were blessed with 7 days almost unbroken sunshine, which adds to the attractiveness of the location and showed Wales at its very best! This holiday will stay in our hearts and memories for many years!"

"The cottage is beautiful with plenty of off-road parking. We were very lucky that the weather was good all week, it just rained as we were packing up to leave! We were able to enjoy the garden every evening. I've taken 2 points off the Local amenities score only because the local shop was closed and up for sale (not the fault of the cottage owners of course but it did mean that we had to get in the car to do the shopping). The local pub was excellent, we had Sunday lunch there and took the advice to book the day before as it gets very busy. In the cottage, there are plenty of toys and games provided for the children and the pool table proved a big hit with the grown-up kids too! All in all, a most enjoyable holiday was had by all."

"Lovely place to stay for a medium sized group. Seven of us stayed for a long weekend and made a lot of good use of the games room! Having the pool table, darts board and table tennis available made for a really fun weekend. The log fire in the lounge also made for a very nice rainy-day of playing Scrabble. Beautiful location and nice and clean. Good sized kitchen and the coffee machine was great! Only minor downside was a lack on condiments available, but this is obviously a very small downside. Overall lovely place, would recommend!"

"Excellent cottage, nice & responsive owners. Location is not far from mountains walks and other attractions. All in all, very recommended.Would be good to have instructions for the coffee machine, spent a while trying to understand how it works."

"Lovely cottage & garden. The games room was a big hit! Lovely Sunday roast in the local pub. We found lots of places to visit. Seeing the ospreys was a real treat."

"2 families in one house, 4 adults and 4 children, and 2 dogs. Plenty of room for everyone. Very well equipped house. About 6 miles to the nearest sandy beach and a few miles to the nearest town for shops. Would definitely stay again!!"

"Immaculately clean and very well equipped cottage in a beautiful location.Kids loved the games room and we all found our beds super comfy.Just a small thing to spoil our arrival was that the heating thermostat had been left on 15° and after a six and a half hour journey the cottage was very cold, not the cosy welcome it could have been.Everything else was lovely and once the thermostat was found it was a cosy and comfortable stay. Many thanks."
