Just down a quiet lane in the lovely village of East Hoathly and set in a wonderful, quiet area of Sussex will find you Betty's Cottage. With plenty of lawned outside space for the kids to play and flexible accommodation, this cottage is the perfect base for a family getaway! Across two floors, the cottage is made up beautifully decorated bedrooms and all have their own unique style. There is one ground floor single bedroom. The rest of the bedrooms are found up the plush carpeted stairs and comprise one king-size double and one triple bunk, both having Juliet balconies that look out onto the stunning views of the country. On the same floor is a contemporary shower room and there is also and additional cloakroom with basin and WC on the ground floor. The rest of the cottage is made up of well-equipped kitchen/diner with plenty of work space and seating. This room leads into the conservatory which has seating, and is a lovely spot to sit, relax and read a book in front of stunning views. There is also a cosy sitting room where you can get comfortable and watch TV in front of the open fire. The property has a lovely wrap around enclosed, landscaped garden with a patio area and some furniture, and also has off road parking for two cars. Take a 2 minutes walk into the village and visit the local pub for a bite to eat or buy a newspaper from the local shop. There are also numerous picturesque walking trails in the area that are available to you at your leisure! Ashdown Forest is just 10 miles away with all the links to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh. Take a 5 minute drive to Uckfield for the main shops or Royal Tunbridge Wells and to explore their beautiful streets and attractions like the famous Chalybeate Spring. Or take a day trip to the coastal town of Eastbourne, a popular seaside town!

East Hoathly is a village in Sussex including the hamlet of Halland. Both villages offer local pubs and shops, with the King’s Head in East Hoathly being a popular choice by both locals and tourists. Nearby is Crowborough which offers a variety of eateries and shops. Further afield is Royal Tunbridge Wells and is worth visiting its natural spring, known as The Chalybeate Spring. It also offers shops, restaurants, bars, bistros and theatres surrounded by woodland and greenery.
