The lawned garden is enclosed by a low-level wall and fencing allowing peaceful relaxation after a busy day exploring.Stretch your legs along the various footpaths from the rural spot in Trescowe, or jump in the car to see some of the beautiful coves along the south west coast between Mounts Bay and Porthleven. For true seaside lovers, why not hop on the branch line train from nearby St Erth and while away a day or two in St Ives where traditional Cornish charm meets upmarket eateries and shops, with some of the most beautiful sandy beaches around West Cornwall. Guests at Sampson Barn will not be disappointed by the variety on offer from this peaceful, rural hideaway home.

Praa Sands is an excellent surfing and swimming beach. Lifeguarded during the summer months, there is also a surf school offering kayak, surfboard and wetsuit hire. The cafe and bar/restaurant at the western end of the beach is popular, and a stroll to the eastern end will ensure tranquillity. Praa Sands is also home to a nine hole Golf and Country Club, open to non members plus a small post office stores for provisions.
