About this property

Nestled on the banks of a gentle stretch of the River Inny, this detached, single storey cottage offers comfortable accommodation on an exclusive complex near to the old fishing port of Boscastle, on the North Cornwall coast. Perfect for a couples retreat, the bedroom is beautifully styled and the open plan living area is ideal for sharing every moment together. Relax on the sun trap patio and sip on a cool drink as you fire up the barbeque after a busy days touring or maybe a game of tennis on the on-site court to work up an appetite. Close to the historic, picturesque fishing village of Boscastle, with its medieval core and unusual harbour, you'll find plenty to capture your imagine from art shops to a Witchcraft Museum. If you happen to be there at low tide, see if you can spot the bathing pool within the harbour which was cut out of the rock in 1891. This rugged area of North Cornwall is a walker’s delight filled with fascinating history. For the brave, cross the mystical bridge at Tintagel to reach the legendary ruins of King Arthur’s Castle. Further down the coast you will find the pretty areas of Padstow, where the fish and chips is outstanding and Port Isaac, well-known for Doc Martin. The town of Bude is within easy driving distance for shopping and boasts a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. A top pick for a romantic break, honeymoon or anniversary.

A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill. The quaint village shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, make this an ever popular visitor destination. Spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open fields and rich wildlife characterise this beautiful area. The coastal footpath passes through some of Britain’s most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within easy driving distance. Close at hand lie the delights of Tintagel, swathed in the legends of King Arthur, several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
