This studio-style property is situated in scenic leafy countryside, just a short drive from picturesque Helford Passage. The property's own colourful cottage garden is a wonderful place to relax with an evening tipple, and is particularly pleasant during the spring and summer months. Two hand-railed steps take you inside to a small galley kitchen. Two steps up and you will be through to the open-plan living and sleeping area, where the high beamed ceiling and neutral furnishings create a fresh and sunny welcome. An adjoining en-suite shower room completes the small but perfectly-formed accommodation. Out and about, while away the days exploring the banks of the Helford River, with its hidden coves, unspoilt scenery and quaint waterside hamlets. Discover Frenchman's Creek - the inspiration behind Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name, foodie pubs right on the water's edge, and unpolluted, starry night skies. Remote and romantic, Dovecote is next to the owners property and offers blissful tranquillity and the chance to embrace a slower pace of life. Helford 11 miles away.
Helford is a picturesque village on the south side of the Helford River. Helford is very popular with its thatched cottages, excellent village stores and especially The Shipwrights Arms, right on the edge of the creek with its waterside terrace. Just a short walk away is Frenchman’s Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier. The Helford River Sailing Club is very popular and a regatta is held every August. In the summer a passenger ferry runs to Helford passage, the home of the Ferryboat Inn, and nearby to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The wildlife on the Helford River is diverse and a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Good location for sight seeing and amenities. Well worth another stay.

We were shown the property and the facilities available. It could not have been better. It had everything we could wish for in a holiday letting and the hosts were insistent that we let them know if there was anything we needed, there wasn't. The property was warm, snug and very comfortable and situated with such easy access to north, south, east and west Cornwall. We certainly hope to return but in the meantime have wonderful memories to look back on.
