About this property

This single-storey stable conversion in a rural location offers everything needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The Yard is a perfect base for exploring all the riches Somerset has to offer including Wells, Cheddar, Wookey Hole and the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Yard is a converted stable on one level, sitting at the end of a secluded private drive with ample parking. It has been renovated to provide a luxurious, modern, light and warm space with open access to the outside patio and fields. In a rural location, the property offers everything needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay. When the sun is shining, open the doors and spill out onto the patio with a barbecued feast. If it's raining, chill out in the calm conservatory watching the wildlife, or snuggle up in the cosy sitting room to read a book or play a board game.

Within walking distance of the village pub for good food and ales, this property is also in a central location for visiting many renowned places of national interest including Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Longleat, Bath and Bristol. In addition, there are many local places and attractions to visit that make the area distinctive and special; from St Aldhelm's Well and the tithe barn in the village of Doulting, to a local folly Cranmore Tower or the beautiful Beacon Woods. Also close by are the towns of Bruton, 'artisan' Frome and Castle Cary to name but a few. Stourhead, King Alfred's Tower and Lytes Cary Manor are also nearby. Located on the edge of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its wild high landscape of lead mines and limestone caves and gorges and the natural habitats of the low level marshes and moors, The Yard is a perfect base for exploring all the riches that Somerset has to offer.
