About this property

This detached bungalow is in a small private development on the edge of Much Wenlock, Shropshire, about half a mile from the town centre. Completely redecorated and re-equipped, Wenlock View is set in a small 1960s development. Being the last house on the road, it is secluded, borders onto fields and its elevated position offers an unrivalled panoramic view of the hills of Shropshire. Ideal for walkers and those that enjoy the outdoors and the countryside. Set on one floor, this two-bed home has been decorated and re-fitted throughout. A double bedroom and a twin bedroom, with a separate dressing room, offer views over the town of Much Wenlock. There is a family bathroom with rain shower over the bath. At the rear, the newly fitted and equipped kitchen and lounge diner with feature fireplace offer beautiful views over the hills towards the Wrekin. Patio doors from the lounge/diner mean you can easily enjoy the views from the lounge or the well-maintained, secluded and quiet garden. Decking by the patio doors leads to a stone flagged seating area with garden table and chairs. The beautiful centre of the medieval town of Much Wenlock is half a mile away with many independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants clustered around the Town Square. For provisions, a petrol station with a small store is on the main road about half way into town. Much Wenlock itself is well worth exploring with its museum in the centre and the tranquil ruins of Wenlock Priory are a short walk away. Walking and cycling trails make the most of this peaceful, rural area and there are larger attractions close by such as the Iron Bridge World Heritage Site with its range of museums as well as the Gorge and Bridge itself. The Severn Valley Railway, Shipton Hall and Benthall Hall are all close by. Perfectly situated for exploring the Shropshire Hills by foot, bicycle or car, Wenlock View offers peace and tranquillity in which you can enjoy amazing views.

This delightful 700-year old market town lies on the north east end of the famous Wenlock Edge, in the middle of the stunning Shropshire countryside. Considered the birthplace of the traditional Olympic Games, the town is filled with black and white half timbered buildings, a patchwork of twisting streets, limestone cottages, speciality shops, quality pubs and restaurants.
