    About this property

Just 50 yards from the beach and with stunning sea views, this property is perfect for a family holiday on the south coast.
Offering stunning panoramic sea views over to the Isle of Wight, this light and spacious town house is set over three floors. The bright and airy open plan living area has been tastefully styled with white furnishings and patio doors, which span virtually the whole width of the living area, open onto a balcony from which the ever changing nautical vista can be savoured. Upstairs on the top floor, the master bedroom captures the mesmerising view from a greater elevation, offering breathtaking scenery from the huge picture window which is interesting to watch day or night. The bedroom also has a sofa bed and a kettle/tea tray, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Hayling Island is accessed by a bridge, so you can drive straight over, making it very accessible for visitors and easy to get to many places of interest. The beaches of this popular isle are surrounded by sheltered waters across from the Isle of Wight, making it ideal for water sports activities. It is renowned for its windsurfing and sailing activities, kayaking, power boating, jet ski-ing, kite surfing and wake boarding. Local paddle-boating and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national windsurfing event, and a hive of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline.
Many activities can be enjoyed locally for all ages, including a seaside railway, fun fair and West Beachlands, great for sandcastles at low tide! Free play includes beach volleyball and adventure play areas. For the sports enthusiast, Seacourt is also worth a visit, with five racket sports. Other nearby activities include golf, horse riding, boat trips and scenic walks along the waters edge, or walks along the South Downs National Park which is within easy reach. Chichester, with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races, is definitely worthy of a visit. Visit Portsmouth, with its waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, Natural History Museum, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower and HMS Victory, or explore the maritime history of Southampton. Winchester, with its cathedral, abbey and The New Forest, are within easy driving distance. There are plenty of National Trust houses and gardens to also be discovered. Beach 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

"Overall we had a fantastic stay, booked 7th December. We arrived to find that the cottage had been decorated with two Christmas trees and the dining table set with crackers, sweets and a selection of snacks. There were pretty lights adorning the stairway. The view over the beach to the see was fantastic and the cottage was so comfortable and relaxing.I would highly recommend a visit. The only downside was that the garden could have been tidier, however this didn't spoil our stay as it wasn't warm enough to go outside.Fantastic, go there you won't be disappointed x"

"Myself and my family had a wonderful stay at the apartment. The only issue we had was with the fold out sofa bed which was very uncomfortable, and to maybe have some black out blinds put in on the windows. We were also told we would have some milk on arrival for tea/coffee. But fortunately the shop is a small walking distance away. Overall an excellent stay"

"Had a lovely weekend away with a group of girls to escape for a weekend. We had a fantastic time. The apartment is lovely throughout. Couldn't fault the cleanliness and space. The one tiny thing that I would mention is the sofa's need replacing, they have become a little tired and the leather is coming off so the bits kept going on the floor or your clothes. But still very comfortable. The owners were excellent, kept us updated when we could go in and left a lovely welcome pack. Also responded straight away to any questions we had. Loved every minute of our stay."

"Great location. Well equipped. Spacious.Only gripe is the ground floor room and bed needed airing before we arrived."

"We all had a fantastic time at horizon view. We loved the big open space so we could all be together. The local shop that sold everything and the pubs all only a couple of minutes away. The owners kept in contact with us and where very friendly."

"Four of us had a lovely week at Horizon View. Initial impressions of the property as you drive up to it, as someone else has said, aren’t great – it looks quite tired and unkempt outside at the front as well as the back - but inside the property is great! It’s spacious, light, and bright, and well laid-out with some stylish-looking furniture (although one of the leather sofas is quite badly worn). It’s a perfect location for visiting plenty of places, with Hayling Island itself providing excellent facilities. The welcome pack was much appreciated and first impressions inside were that everywhere you could see was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and we had pretty much everything we needed. The views from the balcony were spectacular and we were treated to some fantastic sunsets. There are, however, some issues that need noting... On arrival, the living area had a very strong smell of dogs. I had spoken with Debby the owner in advance of arriving and mentioned that I am asthmatic and allergic to dogs (when we booked the property, there was either no note of dogs being allowed, or we missed it entirely, but it’s something we usually check for obvious reasons) and she kindly advised that she would ask the cleaners to make sure that they did an extra deep clean so that everywhere was spotless, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, they hadn’t. Following our noses (mine, by which time, was itching badly, as were my eyes, resulting in the need to take antihistamines and inhalers) we discovered a LOT of fluff, dirt, dog hairs, and general detritus under the two sofas. It took us less than 15 minutes to sweep and mop the floor. The sofas move easily, so it’s not a difficult job for the cleaners to do, especially when they’ve been specifically asked. We also cleared the cushions and the rather shabby throws away from the sofas, as they had dog hairs on them, and wiped over the sofas. We opened all of the windows to allow the air to circulate and by the following evening my breathing had improved and thankfully I was fine for the rest of the week. A couple of other things – there was a toilet brush left in the downstairs toilet – with the seat down! – and the downstairs shower screen had not been cleaned at all. I noted all of this to Debby in reply to her text on our return (she’d mentioned at the beginning of our stay that she had something personal that she had to attend to, so we didn’t want to disturb her then), but I didn’t hear back from her with an explanation or apology, which is rather disappointing. Also, the bin lids in the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned at all and it would have been useful to have some oven gloves in the kitchen. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom were all fine, although a shaver socket in the upstairs bathroom and a mirror in the second double bedroom would have be helpful. All in all it was a great week and we can recommend the property to small or large groups and anyone who has dogs or isn’t allergic to them, but sadly it’s somewhere that we’ll be able to go back to for that reason alone."

"What a weekend!!! Our hosts made the whole experience so amazing from start to finish, without ever meeting them! . The house is superb and the location, second to none!! Views of the sun sets each night were simply stunning. Walking distance to great pubs, shops and close enough to get into portsmouth if needed. All the rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you will need for your stay. To say we enjoyed ourselves is an understatement, we all could of lived there."

"We loved staying at Horizon View, it was fantastic to walk round the corner and within minutes you’re either on the beach or in the little town. It was especially good for walking our dog as the beaches are very dog friendly."

"On arrival the place doesn't take your breath away and could do with a little de-weeding etc but Inside, where it matters, is fantastic though. Light, spacious and just what we needed to host a 40th birthday celebration with a group of friends. The sea is right outside and views are great. The area has a little buzz to it but not too busy so you can relax and unwind.Debby and Grant were great and really helpful and we would definitely stay here again."

"Very last minute mini break for me and my 3 children my dog and mum and couldn't have been more perfect. Amazing views while relaxing on the balcony - so peaceful. The accommodation is very spacious and very well equipped, beds are very comfortable. Location is perfect. Communication with the owners exceptional - so gutted we didn't get to meet in person so will just have to head back to do that. Thank you from us all 😊👌"
