Conveniently situated for shopping (Spar and Post Office almost directly below, with “Cook” concession for excellent frozen prepared meals), cafés, restaurants and the river. Dartmouth has much to offer for a holiday. If it was on the banks of a river on the Continent, the travel writers would rave about its fine buildings, harbour, restaurants, ambience and proximity to other places of interest, such as Totnes, Brixham, Agatha Christie's Greenway and Paignton by heritage railway. The cosy Flavel Theatre has a full and varied programme and the Museum is worth a visit if only to see the unique footage of D-Day preparations in the area.

Fun, chilled, friendly, best crabbing anywhere! <br />As ever a gorgeous stay in Dartmouth! Two cottages due to an interesting issue which Blueriver helped us to resolve. Thank you! Lots to do and great to travel by boat or steam train to lots of interesting places. Both the cottages we stayed in were lovely- Halcyon and Melbourne- but beware if you are looking to use 3G in the Dartmouth area- prepare your expectations now for a technology detox! In every other way - perfect and we will be back again as soon as we can. Our 7 year old loved it too! Thank you
