    About this property

This superb detached cottage is set on the seafront in the picturesque Bull Bay cove, near to Amlwch, on the north coast of Anglesey. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cottage could not be in a more prominent and spectacular beachside location. Built by the current owners, Glan y Mor has been appointed to a high standard throughout, and offers luxurious upside down living to provide unbeatable sea views from the main living area, a double aspect sitting room with two separate balconies looking out onto the Irish Sea. Stairs lead off the hall to the spacious first floor open plan living room, with galleried ceiling, oak beams and bespoke chandeliers, married with designer radiators, oak flooring and leather sofas, to create a stylish and welcoming area to sit and socialise. Dine in style overlooking the bay, and prepare delicious home-cooked meals to eat on the balcony whilst watching the changing colours on the sea as the sun sets. The three ground floor bedrooms have been carefully styled to provide the same level of finish as upstairs, with a twin and double room overlooking the cove and a master bedroom with fully-fitted wardrobes and a king-size bed to the rear. The rear patio is a sheltered sun trap with slate chippings and a patio area, with bench seating under the front covered veranda, where you can sit with your favourite tipple, watching the world go by. There is parking for 3 cars or watercraft, and with the beach and launching slipway just across the harbour road the location is perfect. The Anglesey Coastal Path meanders past the property opening up miles of unspoilt coastline, clifftop walks and hidden coves, and the popular Bull Bay Golf Club is a short stroll past the Trecastell Hotel and bar, with the ever popular Bull Bay Hotel less than a half minute walk in the other direction. A wonderful property in an enviable seaside location, which will have you returning time and time again.

Situated on the Northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey is the pretty seaside village of Bull Bay. The scenery around Bull Bay is stunning as is the nearby island of East Mouse, which sits within the bay and has rockpools which are perfect for shrimping and crabbing. Bull Bay also offers two hotels with restaurants and bars and a superb golf course. Close to the village is the famous Anglesey Coastal Path and just 1.5 miles away is the small, harbour town of Amlwch which boasts shops, bars and a market every Friday. Nearby is the Parys Mountain, where the Copper Mine Trail Walk is worth a visit. Also within driving distance is the historic town of Beaumaris, which has a stunning 13th century castle, museums, shops, pubs and restaurants. Bull Bay is a perfect base to explore the many attractions, towns and villages Anglesey has to offer.

" It's location, just across the road from the beach at Bull Bay, is perfect and the 'upside down' layout of the house enabled us to watch dolphins, porpoise and even jumping fish from the huge windows and the two balconies. The open plan design makes the house feel huge and we had so much space. The views meant that the TV was only used after dark and it felt very restful to spend time gazing out to sea, reading or just chatting. The bedrooms are spacious, with two benefitting from sea views and the third a very large master with a huge amount of storage space. The bathroom has a lovely freestanding bath and a huge shower cubicle, with a very efficient shower. The extra toilet upstairs was useful too. The kitchen was well equipped, with an excellent range cooker, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. The biscuits left for our arrival were an appreciated surprise. Bull Bay is a great place for spotting porpoise and Risso's dolphins (in September/October). We had some great sightings close to shore and spent many hours perched on the rocks off the coast path taking photos and enjoying these magnificent creatures. We had a great holiday on Anglesey and this extra special holiday home was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be returning to Glan Y Mor! "

" However a few minor comments for the owners to consider: On all other similar holidays we have always had a welcome pack. Provision of soap in the upstairs loo would also be helpful. Spare rubbish bags would also be helpful. "

" Perfect for watersports lovers and relaxing on the balconies. Will hopefully return next year. "
    Mrs Aldridge ‐ 1 May 2019
" Lovely home, perfect situation and sea views. Haven’t felt so relaxed in a long time. Wish we had booked for two weeks instead of just one. "

" All facilities were perfect. The only suggestion I would make is that the cleaning was not top notch - ie there was a little dust in places and cobwebs. The kitchen and bathrooms though were very clean. However I do not consider this bad enough to complain. We really thought the cottage was beautiful and had a lovely stay. Particularly enjoyed the 1000 piece jigsaw the owners left for us to complete - we did it. "

" A privilege to have stayed in such a beautiful upside down high quality home. Watched the sunrise every morning through the huge cathedral window over looking the bay. Enjoyed all the suggestions made by the owner. Loved all her collected items dotted around, kept discovering ones hidden about in the rafters, plants etc... great fun. Loved the decor and furnishings. Great facilities, can’t fault anything. Beautiful location to return to after exploring the island each day. We had a Wonderful relaxed week, a memorable 50th birthday and very sad to leave. Will return! "

" Plus an amazing location with beautiful views of the bay and easy access to coastal walks. This was our second visit and we would hope to return again next year "

" Amazing property that the published photographs did it no justice ( even though it looked really good in pictures ) Would definitely return & recommend to friends "

"Amazing holiday in an amazing location. The house itself was perfect and far exceeded what we were expecting. Would definitely recommend this as a holiday location, particularly if you like a quiet time, exploring rockpools and watching the sunset and the porpoises from the nearby cliffs (the beach is literally across the road and the cliffs are a 5 minutes walk)."

" A delight was the salting pool at the right time of tide - it became our own little private swimming pool (though you need beach shoes to get to it)! The house showed so much consideration for its guests, with tiny details such as coat hooks in all the right places, easy to clean bathroom light switch, and such a well equipped kitchen. This place felt such an indulgence yet didn't break the bank - we will definitely be back! "

"Amazing cottage, would definitely book again."

"Had an excellent holiday in this well placed holiday let. A different view from the window every day and enjoyable to watch kayakers, rowers etc. The house was quiet and comfortable with the bonus of Sky tv and better wifi than we have at home. It was well furnished and had loads of wardrobe space (I like to take everything in case lol) and a fabulous fridge/ feezer instead of those teeny ones you usually get. The ONLY downside was the noise the fridge made, which could be heard in the kingsize room below. Unfortunately I am like the Princess from the Princess and the Pea story and slept in ALL the beds until we ended up in the twin room (we sleep in a king size bed usually), We would definitely go there again!"

"Absolutely fabulous house, amazing views and a lovely layout. There were 6 adults in this party all of whom could sit comfortably in the main lounge, around the dining room table and the 2nd lounge. We loved the fact that the upstairs and main living area was upstairs and very open plan. There was plenty of space to park out the front. The house is very well appointed, all fixtures and fittings were of a high standard as was the kitchen. The house has lots of quirky artefacts in it which we loved and the longer we stayed there the more we found."

"This house had the WoW factor as soon as you pulled onto the drive and continued throughout the house. Beautiful comfortable house within a fantastic location and a view well worth the visit."
    Mrs Hardwicke
"The house and the location was excellent. Just like the brochure. Top marks to the owners and for having this beautiful house on their books everything about the holiday was great."

"This spacious upside down accommodation has amazing views of rocky Bull Bay, it is generally finished to a high standard and is comfortable and homely. The two balconies overlooking the bay were lovely to sit and relax on with a cup of tea. However, I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness of the kitchen and the shower tiles - on arrival I had to clean the fridge shelves of previous spillages and kitchen counters which were sticky. My daughter also had to change beds after the first night as one of the twin beds was very creaky. However, my children very much enjoyed skimming stones in the bay and watching for seals and my husband (an avid bird watcher) was enthralled by all the birds and other wildlife. The nearby coastal path is beautiful and Church bay (blue flag beach) was good for body boarding. Caernarfon is also worth a day visit with its independent shops and lovely estuary views."

"This holiday was an absolute treat from the beautiful house that catered perfectly to all the differing needs of my family, to the beautiful setting of Anglesey and some magical evenings watching porpoises and seals as the sun went down. "Beautifully decorated inside, high quality furniture and fittings, lovely location, right across from Bull Bay pebble cove, very quiet location, nice 10 minute walk up a hill to watch the porpoises and seals at high tide, saw lots of shooting stars, lovely sandy beaches close by and excellent communication from key holder. Would highly recommend this property."

"Superb location with fantastic views over Bull Bay, lovely big roomy house with loads of quirky features and fantastic retro photos from decades ago. Walk over the headland and see dolphins and porpoises off the point. Make sure you visit Cemeas bay, Newborough beach, Moelfre, Benlech, Menai, Beaumaris and Red Wharf Bay."
