About this property

This superb detached cottage is set on the seafront in the picturesque Bull Bay cove, near to Amlwch, on the north coast of Anglesey. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cottage could not be in a more prominent and spectacular beachside location. Built by the current owners, Glan y Mor has been appointed to a high standard throughout, and offers luxurious upside down living to provide unbeatable sea views from the main living area, a double aspect sitting room with two separate balconies looking out onto the Irish Sea. Stairs lead off the hall to the spacious first floor open plan living room, with galleried ceiling, oak beams and bespoke chandeliers, married with designer radiators, oak flooring and leather sofas, to create a stylish and welcoming area to sit and socialise. Dine in style overlooking the bay, and prepare delicious home-cooked meals to eat on the balcony whilst watching the changing colours on the sea as the sun sets. The three ground floor bedrooms have been carefully styled to provide the same level of finish as upstairs, with a twin and double room overlooking the cove and a master bedroom with fully-fitted wardrobes and a king-size bed to the rear. The rear patio is a sheltered sun trap with slate chippings and a patio area, with bench seating under the front covered veranda, where you can sit with your favourite tipple, watching the world go by. There is parking for 3 cars or watercraft, and with the beach and launching slipway just across the harbour road the location is perfect. The Anglesey Coastal Path meanders past the property opening up miles of unspoilt coastline, clifftop walks and hidden coves, and the popular Bull Bay Golf Club is a short stroll past the Trecastell Hotel and bar, with the ever popular Bull Bay Hotel less than a half minute walk in the other direction. A wonderful property in an enviable seaside location, which will have you returning time and time again.

Situated on the Northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey is the pretty seaside village of Bull Bay. The scenery around Bull Bay is stunning as is the nearby island of East Mouse, which sits within the bay and has rockpools which are perfect for shrimping and crabbing. Bull Bay also offers two hotels with restaurants and bars and a superb golf course. Close to the village is the famous Anglesey Coastal Path and just 1.5 miles away is the small, harbour town of Amlwch which boasts shops, bars and a market every Friday. Nearby is the Parys Mountain, where the Copper Mine Trail Walk is worth a visit. Also within driving distance is the historic town of Beaumaris, which has a stunning 13th century castle, museums, shops, pubs and restaurants. Bull Bay is a perfect base to explore the many attractions, towns and villages Anglesey has to offer.

The house is delightful. The view absolutely amazing. We saw porpoises, seals, divers, swimmers and kayakers. Lots of lovely places to visit on Anglesey. Great for walkers along the coastal paths. I recommend Rib Riding along the Menai Straits a great challenge for me at 78 years of age.

You need transport to get anywhere, bus service very poor. We had a lovely time, enjoying the walks and peaceful atmosphere. The views from the house are beautiful, plenty of activity to watch on the water, people swimming boat launches paddle boarders etc. Best kitted out kitchen we have ever experienced, the only gripe would be not enough cups/mugs and probably another TV. The beds were fine the duvets too heavy for me, mine is 1.5 tog all year round. All in all a great house and a fine holiday. Some fine dining to be had a short drive away about 40 mins.
