The former stables to Hardacre House, this delightful conversion is full of character and charm offering cosy open plan accommodation for four.  Set in a beautiful rural location in the village of Preston with a general stores, butcher's and village pub just up the lane. Twyne Cottage is named after John Twyne who was the Head of King's School in Canterbury in 1560 and lived at Hardacre House.  The cottage has its own pretty enclosed garden, where you can enjoy a barbecue on a summer evening, after taking a stroll through the surrounding orchards.  The medieval city of Canterbury is only 10 miles away with its great restaurants, museums and artisan shops.  Head for one of the nearby coastal towns for some traditional seaside fun and beachcombing on the pebble or golden sandy beaches. The Owner also runs English language courses for 2 students at a time for any foreign guests who may be interested. Shop: 100 yds Pub: 200yds  Coast: 10 miles
