"The cottage is itself in a fantastic location. Lots of walking distances from your doorstep. Peaceful tranquillity. Lots of wildlife and bats at night can be watched from the skylight. Very relaxing and the cottage is absolutely spot on!!!"
- Mr Egan, July 2017 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"The cottage is sublime, in a beautiful setting and is without doubt the best we have stayed in. We will definitely be going back"
- Julie L, November 2016 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"We stayed at Anne's Cotrage for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed for longer. The location is peaceful and far enough away from the busy towns to feel like a lovely retreat! We loved the log burner and cosy lounge area. The cottage is so well equpped, especially the kitchen, with just about everything you'd need and a few things you think you didn't. Be sure to have a nose into the many drawers in the kitchen and lounge where you'll find DVDs, maps, even stationary and an adult colouring book! We took advantage of the good location to explore by car and on foot. We visited Monmouth, Ross on Wye, Hereford, Abergavenny, Hay on Wye and Tintern. We recommend the 4 mile hike around Penallt looking out for millstones. We'd love to return."
- Miss Burdis, October 2016 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"This was a perfect paradise of peace and quiet in a beautifully appointed cottage and stunning scenery."
- Mrs Sullivan, September 2016 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"No, everything was good, the location was too far out in the wilds for our liking but the cottage was great and the owners were very friendly. The kitchen was superb, better than mine"
- Mr Horne, August 2016 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"The cottage was amazing. It had everything you could ever need. Great hiking opportunities directly from the cottage. Beautiful church next door."
- Sholts, July 2016 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"We stayed at S6710 in at the end of March 2016 and it was the first time we had rented a cottage. I we will be doing it again. However, any other cottage is going to have a lot to live up to. The way S6710 has been decorated and furnished is so lovely. The well equipped kitchen is great. We have all thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the cottage, reading and taking in the fabulous views. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable and our teenage daughter said that the sofa bed in the lounge was comfortable too. The log burner is perfect for those colder nights and really warms up the place. This is a great place to use to visit the area. We've wandered through Monmouth, had a trip to Cardiff, visited Abergavenny and Caerphilly, as well as done some walks from the cottage. The cottage has a number of books/leaflets which shown different walking routes as well as other local places to visit. We had a meal at the Inn at Penault which was very nice. One thing to note is that phone signal is poor. This wasn't a problem for us as it was nice to not be on the phones constantly, although if affected our teenage daughter. We have already recommended this cottage to family and friends and wouldn't hesitate in coming back if we were to visit this area again."

"What a little gem/find. Lovely well equipped cottage. Magnificent views and surroundings so peaceful. Amazing shower and truly comfortable bed. If you want a quiet break away from it all then this is a cottage to go to."
- kim w, November 2015 ‐ 20 Jul 2017
"Beautiful well-equipped cottage, decorated to an exceptionally high standard. Very peaceful area with stunning views. No 'phone signal but that isn't always a bad thing! Lots of walking opportunities if you're ok with steep climbs. Monmouth is a pleasant nearby town with plenty of smaller shops. All in all a very relaxing stay in a lovely clean cottage with beautiful views."
- Evelynreichard, October 2014 ‐ 20 Jul 2017

Mrs Rianne Oomens, Bavel,
"A beautiful cottage with high standard furniture and equipment, especially the bathroom and kitchen. In a secluded, quiet location with good access to walking routes. Had beautiful views and good pubs in the neighbourhood. We spent most time 'at home' in the kitchen, a well equipped and light room to sit in. We had a splendid week."
Mrs Theresa Jane Leigh, Ashford,
"The cottage was excellent in every way. The location was beautiful, a real escape from the rat race, the only sound was bird song. The interior was all of a very high standard, extremely clean and comfortable, cannot think of one single thing it required. The owners were on hand if needed but completely unobtrusive."
Mr Ken Gamston, Ashford, Surrey
"The most amazing and surprisingly unexpected feature of this restful cottage was genuinely being awakened at 5.30 every morning by the songs of birds. Twice I went outside, at what would be an ungodly hour just to marvel and to try and record them."
Mr Brian Houghton, York, North Yorkshire
"A delightful cottage in a rural setting with superb views. The amenities were first class, we will return."

Mr Michael Flanagan, Manchester, Greater Manchester
"The cottage was beautiful and in a wonderfully peaceful location. The cottage owners were very helpful and ensured that should we need anything we were only to ask. All furnishings, fixtures, fittings and equipment were of a high quality. Cannot recommend the cottage highly enough and will definitely visit again in the future."
Mr Douglas Johns, Newton Abbot, Devon
"The cottage was in a very scenic location and was very comfortable and well equipped. "
Mr Arthur Babey, Southampton, Hampshire
"This beautiful Cottage is in a very quiet rural location which made it a relaxing stay, although it is only a 10 minute car journey into Monmouth with all its amenities. Everything provided in the Cottage is new and together with the excellent finishing touches, made it a very warm, welcoming and comfortable place to return to after a day's sightseeing."
