This idyllic, traditional detached cottage dating back to the mid-19th century, is situated in the picturesque village of Elton, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. This cosy cottage is in an ideal location for families and friends wishing to explore the wonders of the area. The cottage is a delightful mix of traditional blended with all the necessities of modern life. The cosy sitting room extends onto the private patio area, just perfect for basking in the sun and for chillier evenings the woodburner is toasty warm! For family meals and gathering of friends, the spacious dining room provides a good-sized table which is perfect for serving a banquet or sharing a takeaway! The cottage style kitchen is testament to the age of the cottage with thick walls and deep window sills and original beams adorn the ceilings throughout the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a twin, together with a family bathroom. Outside, there is a lovely, private garden and patio where you can relax with a refreshing drink or dine alfresco, whilst planning your next day’s activities. Elton is a popular Peak District village, quiet and picturesque and surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are lovely views of the village from the first floor of this cottage, particularly from one of the windows in the twin room overlooking the timeless warm-coloured sandstone cottages. The walking in the area is particularly good including Blake Low, Robin Hood's Stride and Cratcliff Tor, all rewarding one with fine views. Derbyshire offers a world of contrasts. The natural beauty of the moors and dales and the Peak District National Park which is a natural playground with caverns, awe-inspiring views, pretty villages and iconic stately homes. The small peaceful village of Elton is situated in a superb elevated position on the White Peak Plateau, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. More than 900ft above sea level and with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, the village is a popular centre for walkers, lying within a few miles of the Tissington and High Peak walking/cycling trails and The Limestone Way.
