There are lovely views of the village from the first floor of this cottage, particularly from one of the windows in the twin room overlooking the timeless warm-coloured sandstone cottages. The walking in the area is particularly good including Blake Low, Robin Hood's Stride and Cratcliff Tor, all rewarding one with fine views. Derbyshire offers a world of contrasts. The natural beauty of the moors and dales and the Peak District National Park which is a natural playground with caverns, awe-inspiring views, pretty villages and iconic stately homes. Lovely location and the cottage is very homely and full of character. We found it a bit short on consumables (eg 1 toilet roll for 4 people for 1 week, and no kitchen roll) but had masses of pots and pans and useful kitchen equipment. We had a lovely week and really felt at home there. Would happily go there again.

We knew the parking on the property was going to be tight and that proved to be the case with my Discovery but as advised by the owner, parking was readily available close by. In spite of some awful 'Derbyshire Drizzle' we had a lovely stay. Thank you.
