"Cottage in a good location for the town. The parking to the side of the property is extremely narrow and very awkward to park. We have a small car and struggled in get in. You have to reverse onto a busy road and you are right on the bend so it is quite difficult to see what is coming! Think that this should be emphasised on the advert for the property. It was also noisy during the night. The downstairs bathroom is also an issue as the stairs are quite steep to negotiate in the middle of the night! For these reasons would not stay there again."

"we had a great time in this centrally located house although the driveway needs to be mastered as it is very tight and unfortunately a slight scrape on my car. the driveway would not be suitable for large vehicles or inexperienced drivers. Other than that a perfect location for touring the local county."

"This is a very nicely appointed small house near the town centre, close to all local amenities. The big drawback is the so-called off- road parking which is, in fact, a very narrow drive the position of which forces one to reverse onto a bend on a busy road. A neighbour said that previous renters had had difficulties and one had badly damaged her vehicle. We abandoned the drive after two days and parked in a town centre car park for the rest of the week."

"We booked for a three night stay but unfortunately the drive way was far to narrow to safely park the car. The road was extremely busy with buses and lorries. The surrounding streets were all full of parked cars so nowhere to park and unload. Stated it was dog friendly but no garden to let the dog out first thing in a morning. We didn't stay."

"Great holiday house. Centrally located in centre of Alnwick. House is on a busy road which is part of local bus routes. Great access to town, supermarket close by. Plenty of free on street parking, drive way to property extremely narrow, we just used street parking. Property was very well equipped. Kitchen had great facilities for cooking any meal. Nice touches such as games, radio, dvds and local info. Beautifully decorated and very clean throughout. We had a very comfortable stay. Would recommend."

"We used the cottage as a base for house hunting in the area, and as such, was ideal. The only reservation was trying to park on the drive. A very narrow driveway - scratched the car. The cottage is situated on a busy, blind corner, so it was hard to line the car up with the drive."

"This cottage is a beautiful gem in the centre of Alnwick and located well for exploring further inland and the stunning Northumberland coastline. A last minute ‘get away’ brought us to White Feathers and we did not want to leave - an eclectic mix of vintage and modern made for a cosy, comfortable and chic base for us to visit what the area had to offer. Everything had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable as it could be with a bit extra too!We would highly recommend this cottage for both short and long stay breaks. We will certainly be returning.Thank you for our introduction to Northumbria; we couldn’t have asked for more :)"

"A lovely cottage, comfortable and quiet, and central as well - easy to get about within Alnwick as well as further afield. Directions to the cottage are not very helpful though (they make it sound as though Green Blatt joins on to Prudhoe or to Lisburn, and it doesn't. Google maps will show you better. Very friendly people in Alnwick! And a lovely welcome in the cottage - wine and chocolates."
