Just four miles from the Staffordshire town of Leek and a short drive to the spa town of Buxton. Dating back to the 1800's with an elevated position and beautiful rural location, this sympathetically converted barn has breathtaking views of the moors and rolling hills making it an ideal base for walkers, a couple, or a family looking for an ideal retreat. The cottage features exposed beams creating a warm country feel with contemporary furnishings. The shower rooms which are located on the upper and ground floors are both modern and stylish.The twin room on the upper floor has shutters and traditional pine furniture creating a calm and relaxing environment. The beautifully furnished ground floor king-size bedroom has views overlooking the stunning countryside; a lovely way to wake up and start your day watching the sheep and cattle grazing in this peaceful, rural setting. The stylish fitted farmhouse kitchen provides for all your culinary needs, so you can enjoy a relaxing evening of delicious home cooking and then cosy up in the comfortable sitting room featuring period beams and an impressive fireplace with a woodburning stove. Outside, to the front of this beautiful cottage is a stone flagged patio which is a great spot for a barbecue while enjoying the magnificent views over the rolling green countryside. Relax with your favourite tipple and watch the evening sunset from this idyllic retreat. Right on the doorstep are fantastic walks and cycle rides around this rugged countryside. Ideally located for climbers who wish to experience the crags of the Roaches Estate. Situated just four miles away is the historic town of Leek on the southern edge of the Peak District National Park. This unspoilt town has antique shops, reproduction pine centres and contemporary art galleries all within the huge Victorian Mills. With its historic churches, unique shops and award-winning eateries, there is plenty to see and do. This is a lovely holiday base to enjoy all year round.

The market town of Leek is situated on the western side of The Peak District National Park and is surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture - a reminder of the town's prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and there is good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Alton Towers is less than 15 minutes drive away.
