"Not much to say really - we've repeatedly visited as we love it. Quite Rural and not to everyones taste but perfect for us and the dogs. Lovely and peaceful, the owner is always very accomodating and always checks we have everything we need."

"If you need creature comforts, Tir Onen is not for you. If you want walks from your front door, wild open space, but not too far off the beaten track this could be ideal. The property has no wi fi or phone signal, and runs off a generator, so at night be prepared to use a torch! But has loads of outdoor space, is great for dogs, and really is life from a different era - and we had great fun, and would happily return."

"Lovely cottage, great for the dogs. We didn't have a problem finding it."

"Tir onen rateA lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings, and sheep on your doorstep! Very close to the four waterfall trail in Ystradfellte, and also to Pen y Fan and Corn Du. The cottage is very remote, with no 3G signal and no WiFi. Take good note of the path into the cottage from the A470 once you are shown it by the host, because the postcode doesn’t help with locating it! Electricity is operated with a generator, which can be left on overnight if absolutely necessary, particularly for perishable fridge items. The cottage is well stocked with bed linen, towels, crockery and cutlery, and there are some condiments too. The host is very friendly and helpful! Many thanks for a nice stay."

"if looking for scenery quiet and privacy what a great place ,if looking for going out and about you will need a car but you are not far from the tourist places ,if you are a walker you couldn't choose a better location .the cottage suited us as we have 2 dogs the outside area was fenced from the river liked a paddock ideal ,we had a very enjoyable week"
    Rachel ‐ 22 Sep 2018
"House is very remote which is lovely, but means it runs on a generator, which you are expected to turn off at night. This means no electricity, no fridgem no freezer etc. Also shower was a bit of a dribble. Beautiful spot and comfy, but pretty basic."

"Very good place needs a bit of a tidy up outside but overall well worth it"
    Louise ‐ 19 Aug 2018
"If it’s a get away from everything Holiday you’re looking for then look no further. Tucked away in the hills, no net connection until you reach the road, a peaceful idyllic farmhouse, stone floors, walls and staircase, surrounded by sheep, horses and cows. The nearest co-op is approx 5 kms away, a couple of take aways, great fish n chip shop. Set close to the Beacons this is a perfect setting. Rhossili Bay is approx 1hr 20 mins away. Plenty of walks, superb waterfalls. Very well equipped accommodation, basic and well catered for. We had a superb break, my grandson loved the stream which runs at the bottom of the garden. I would recommend. The owners were very accommodating."

"Quiet and remote we loved it so did the dog , the only downside if you can call it that was lack of wifi and phone signal"
    Lisa ‐ 9 Jul 2018
"Had an absolutely lovely week , the cottage is set in beautiful surroundings , had no phone signal or WiFi but this made for a very relaxing holiday , we will be definitely booking this cottage again ."
    Nikki ‐ 1 Jun 2018
"Amazing beautiful and secluded location. Managed to eat outside looking st the stunning hills and valley below each evening and one lunchtime. Lovely kind and hospitable hosts. Quiet and near amazing walks pretty villages and waterfalls."
    Vivian ‐ 21 May 2018
"Stunning views from the large, fenced garden which we enjoyed and where our dogs had a fantastic time roaming around. Atmosphere around this house is very special, tranquil and de-stressing. Plenty to see in the area. Living room is small and a little cramped with furniture and the beds were not so comfortable. Very vriendly owner, readily available for all questions."
    Sheila ‐ 6 May 2018
"The cottage is lovely and meets our needs. The only improvement which would benefit us would be if the fencing was completely secure for dogs, as there are sheep on the land outside of the boundary fence. The property is fenced but near the gate needs wire added."
    Hilary ‐ 28 Apr 2018
"We had a great week at the cottage, and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons. Our three dogs enjoyed themselves too. The owners were helpful and quick to respond to any queries. We will definitely be planning to return to the cottage."
    Gavin ‐ 18 Apr 2018
"This won't be for everyone, completely off grid. But we absolutely loved it. Perfect base for biking, walking or just getting away from it all. Friendly helpful hosts. Will be back"
