This was a perfect and peaceful place to explore the wonderful places to be found in Sussex. The Lodge was spotless and luxuriously appointed with all needs catered for. We thought it was a very special place and would love to come again.

We did not rent the Lodge. We rented Flint Cottage which was a beautiful and quirky little cottage. Even though we rented the cottage at very short notice the owners had thought of everything and the welcome pack of supplies was great. An added bonus to this cottage was the beach hut that you could rent for a small fee. Another very thoughtful touch was the handwritten notebook which contained details of Birchington and the surrounding area. There is only one small point I would like to make which is that the stairs in the cottage are quite steep and there isn't a full handrail from top to bottom so would not be suitable for people with limited mobility (I have arthritis in my knee and found the stairs a bit difficult without something to hold). Overall we had a wonderful few days and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and making full use of the beach hut. A big thanks to Lucy and Kevin.
