An ideal place for outdoor enthusiasts and close to sandy beaches, Sustrans cycle routes, narrow gauge railway lines, Portmeirion, Zip World and the UNESCO World heritage Slate Landscape. The beaches of Borth y Gest, Black Rock Sands, Criccieth and Harlech are easily accessible by car. The cottage is also an ideal location for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula. Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway are 4 miles away in Porthmadog. These narrow-gauge lines travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery. Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion the Italianate village famous as a film location, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. Also 12 miles away is the famous Zip World and underground slate caverns. Cefn Coch Isaf is located within a short walk of the iconic Cwmystradllyn, Ynys Pandy UNESCO World Heritage Landscape site. A little further into the valley, on the slopes of Moel Hebog, is the Gorseddau quarry. There is walking access around the lake of Cwmystradllyn and through the beautiful Cwm Pennant valley to the Prince of Wales quarry which is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Landscapes. Walking access to the village of Rhyd Ddu is possible by following the route up through the quarry. Choose Cefn Coch Isaf as your base for a memorable getaway to Wales.

The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short drive from the town of Porthmadog. The well known and unique Italienate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged cliff top on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see.
