S45340 forms part of the Rock village estate and is well placed for easy visits to the stunning Northumbrian coastline and fabulous local countryside walks. The village has a well-marked trail past the ancient church. The golden beaches of Newton-by-the-Sea and Embleton are less than 5 miles away. Combine a fabulous coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle and back with lunch overlooking the sea in the quaint fishing village of Craster, world famous for its smoked kippers and salmon. Golfers are spoilt for choice being within easy reach of many first class coastal courses. Inland, the Northumberland National Park is a stunning area of natural beauty, a magnet for cyclists, bird watchers and anglers. The market town of Alnwick, five miles away, is famous for its castle, featured in Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, and the splendid gardens with the famous treehouse restaurant. To the north lies the busy town of Seahouses and the Farne Islands.
