"We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage. A few minutes walk from several dog friendly pubs. A short drive too many lovely walks and locations. Cottage supplied with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. Log burner was an added bonus. We hope to return soon!"
    Mr Simpson-james
"A wonderfully cosy, comfortable and well-appointed cottage. The owner has done so much to make visitors feel welcome, especially the tea and biscuits after a six-hour drive! And flowers! She was so very helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out after a day's walking - thank you! We shall certainly be back, and are pleased to recommend the cottage to our friends."
    Mr Mick Conlon, London,
"Great location, ideal for getting into the Peaks. Everyone in the village was very friendly. All the pubs were very welcoming, and all allowed for dogs!"
    Mrs H Lamb, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
"The cottage is very well placed for an easy walk to all amenities and some good local pubs. Lovely views from the cottage bedrooms and a cosy lounge. "
    Miss Megan Kelsey, Littleborough,
"3 Glossop House was a lovely house to stay in. I went with my boyfriend and two friends, all 18 and this house was a perfect size for us all to stay in comfortably. Lots of local amenities including fairly priced pubs with food and also the Roundhouse with a selection of more higher priced drinks and lovely cocktails. The house was in perfect condition and was lovely to have a wood burning fire and underfloor heating in the kitchen which was a god send in the cold mornings."
    Dr Richard Graham, Manchester,
"The cottage was warm, cosy and homely. It was sophisticatedly rustic yet very classy. The village is friendly, accessible and very interesting to visitors. The village and cottage are easily reached through trains and a bus service from New Mills station."

"Stayed for a week in this wonderful cottage recently and cannot praise it enough. Fabulously designed with comfort at its heart. Plenty of crockery etc. in the kitchen with an understairs cupboard with washer and dryer. Beds were really comfortable and the views in the morning were superb. I commandeered the chaise in the bedroom every morning for a read and a cuppa, bliss! There were games in the lounge cupboard and a TV with freesat although we didn't use much as The George Hotel was our regular haunt in the evening. Great food, reasonably priced and very friendly locals and staff. There is not an allotted parking space but we were able to park outside on the road every day. Hayfield has a bus stop (across the main road) if you feel like not driving. We visited Buxton & Glossop this way. It also has a small visitors centre and is at the start of a very easy amble to New Mills (The Sett Valley Trail) about 2.5 miles. A great little cottage in a really beautiful area. We will return."
    Mrs Lynn Hogan, Towcester, Northamptonshire
"This cottage is lovely and we would definitely stay again."
    Mrs Emma Gartland, Leicester, Leicestershire
"We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable with lovely décor and finishing touches. It was really cosy with everything you need and beautiful views. I would highly recommend."

"We arrived in beautiful weather, no problems with parking at any time during the week - there was always a place close to the property. This was a classic "two up two down" Peak District cottage that has been brought bang up to date with lots of mod cons. For example, the kitchen had under floor heating and every utensil you would need for a weeks stay. The view from the kitchen across to the fields, sheep and moors, was lovely. The TV was a 'Smart' one, and made a real change from the usual tiny old style TVs you often get in rental properties. The bedrooms were so comfortable too - we both slept like logs, and we appreciated the fact that there was no traffic noise as the main road now by-passes the village. It must be said that Hayfield itself is an absolute gem of a place! It is picturesque, has several really good pubs for both real ale and good-value food, lovely little shops, a unique connection with 'Dad's Army' (and other TV series), easy access to the moors, and a church that has a stream actual flowing underneath it. From the property, it is a very short walk into the village, everything is on your doorstep and if you wanted to venture further afield, Manchester is a short ( and very cheap) train ride from nearby NewMills. In short, it is a great village to explore and a fab little cottage to base yourself in - highly recommended, and we want to go again!"

"We had a great stay in this wonderful house. We felt intermediately welcomed by the friendly decor, the milk and cookies left for us and the books and games we found. The house is not terribly large but we felt right at home with the cosy atmosphere. Bedrooms upstairs where a decent size and offered wonderful views of the town and the surrounding countryside. Wonderful kitchen (loved the stove and sink!) and cosy livingroom with the woodburning stove and cosy blankets to curl under with a good book in the evening. The bathroom was on the small side but clean and watertemperature and pressure were great. Hayfield itself was a great base for local walks en trips further afield and had everything needed with shops and several pubs."

"As the proud owners of a beautiful Dalmatian, we are used to dog friendly cottages that can be a little 'chewed' around the edges. Three Glossop Road was certainly not that, beautifully appointed, very comfortable - pocket sprung double bed (new John Lewis mattress), Woodburning stove, top of the range TV and a powerful and warm shower. There was even a pint of fresh milk, coffee and biscuits when we arrived! Coupled with a great Wi-Fi connection this was home from home. 3 minor things, the stairs are a little steep as befits a property of this age and the courtyard garden is small we also discovered after we booked that 4 days booking was the same price as booking for a week! But these are very minor quibbles, and we are already planning a return visit to this cottage. In short a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting!"

"Excellent location in a picturesque location. A very friendly village and a very comfortable and cosy cottage. "
    Mrs Karen Calow, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
"We loved the cottage and the attention to detail i.e. tv screen, heated flooring in kitchen. The décor of the cottage was done in good taste. It was perfect for two adults and a 16 yr old who really loved it there."
    Mrs Juliet Tidbury, Marlow, Buckinghamshire
"Hayfield was a lovely village with everything you could need on the door step; a good variety of places to eat out, shops, café's and fish & chips. The scenery was stunning & there were country walks in all directions to choose from. The cottage was perfect, couldn't fault it, I particularly enjoyed my morning cup of tea sat on the little stone bench out back & taking in the view!"
    Ms Mary Mc Sherry, Badminton,
"Excellent location, lots of facilities in the village and not far to travel to other areas of interest."
Mrs Karen Henderson, Hessle, East Riding of Yorkshire
"Friendly village. Beautiful location with numerous walks. Cosy cottage which was well equipped with household essentials. Felt at home straight away and hope to return soon. "
    Ms Emma Howe, Felixstowe, Suffolk
"The decor was really homely, the cottage is really warm and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable! Lovely under-floor heating in the kitchen and really friendly and helpful neighbours. Would definitely like to return. "

Mr John Hart, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
"My wife and I both would like to comment on the cleanliness and attention to detail this cottage had. We even had fresh milk in the fridge and the heating was on. We are well travelled and this cottage rates very high. Very much looking forward to staying there again."
    Mr James Taylor, Macclesfield,
"Beautiful cottage, very warm and cosy and extremely well presented. Everything you could need is provided and is of good quality - great 3D TV! Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to everyone."
