This beautiful end-terrace cottage is less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Hawkshead in the stunning Lake District, and 15 minutes' drive from Ambleside and Coniston. This superb cottage is in a popular spot for couples or families all year round. There is a kitchen/dining room with a woodburning stove and a sitting room with a feature fireplace with an open fire - so everyone will have cosy toes! Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with views across the fields towards Esthwaite, a twin bedroom and family bathroom. At the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio area - perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the local villages and lakes. Why not walk into Hawkshead and enjoy the traditional whitewashed cottages and quaint yards which are festooned with hanging baskets during the summer? There are traditional inns to enjoy, plus some stylish and individual shops to explore. Grizedale Forest is on the doorstep, and the visitor centre is 10 minutes' drive away where there is a tree top adventure course and numerous paths and trials to explore both on foot and by bike. Hill Top, home of Beatrix Potter, is just 2 miles away in the hamlet of Near Sawrey where you can see the vegetable patch where the character Peter Rabbit was created. This special part of the Lake District will enchant everyone and this wonderful, cosy cottage will make your stay perfect.

The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Cars are banned from the village, leaving visitors free to wander the tiny alleyways, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th century houses. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.
