Here is a beautifully furnished studio apartment within this elegant, 17th century, stately home formerly owned by Lord Sherborne. Sherborne village has an idyllic Cotswold setting in the Windrush valley between Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold. Some 4,000 acres of land surrounding the house is owned by the National Trust.

Cloisters is a luxurious interior-designed studio apartment on the ground floor of this stately home that leads directly into a beautiful cloistered private courtyard and garden which has a fountain and seating. It has been featured in "The Food and Wine" Magazine for a special romantic holiday.

  • The estate has an abundance of wildlife including different species of deer, badgers, foxes, otters and water voles.

  • There are some lovely walks throughout the park as well as a sculpture trail around the pleasure grounds.

  • The estate is open all year round and the Lodge Park is open from March to November although it is occasionally closed for private functions.

  • A short drive away you will discover the quintessential Cotswold villages of Bibury (with its famous Arlington Row), Barnsley, Coln St Aldwyns and The Barringtons which are host to some excellent local pubs and cafes.

  • You will also find the bustling, market town of Northleach with a village shop, wine bar, bakery and the very popular pub, The Wheatsheaf Inn.

  • The church is considered one of the most popular in the Cotswolds and is a beautiful, historic building to visit.

  • If you would like to travel slightly further afield, travel down to explore the Roman Villa in Chedworth or the busier, Roman market town of Cirencester with its wealth of shops and restaurants.

      Stunning building. Lovely clean apartment. Location fantastic. Welcome hamper was a great touch. Only downside was it was a studio apartment so bed had to be made up and the join was not particularly comfortable.
