Barn Cottage benefits from stunning views over Coverdale. The living accommodation is on the first floor with bedrooms tucked away underneath. It is a cosy cottage in the middle of the village but with gorgeous views. The Forrester's Arms, a community pub, is within walking distance and serves very good food.

Lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped.

The cottage was functional but not to the usual standard of Rural Retreats. It smelt of wet dog that lingered all week. Bathroom was particularly small. The location was excellent and local pub close by and friendly. The welcome hamper was of good quality. There wasn’t really any usable outside space although the owner had managed to squeeze two chairs into the space.

We were very pleased with the cottage . It was as described . It was very clean and very well presented . It contained everything we needed . The cottage was full of character . It was very warm with heating so didn’t feel the need to light the fire . The hampers snd fridge items were superb and most welcome . The home made cake was delicious . Lovely to be able to bring our dog . Would certainly recommend .
