About this property

Apple Tree Cottage is in the grounds of The Old Vicarage near the medieval village of Little Walsingham. It features an open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with french doors onto patio area. The rear garden gives wonderful countryside views.

One of several cottages within the prestigious development of the Old Vicarage, a late Georgian Rectory with communal woodland and grounds extending to approximately 2.5 acres. Apple Tree Cottage features open countryside views to the rear enclosed garden, access to the two acre woodland and the tranquil landscaped Victorian communal walled garden to the front. Feel yourself relax with the sound of the trees rustling in the wind, while watching the horses graze in the pastures to the rear of the property. You are cast back in time, with the occasional toot of the Wells to Walsingham steam train or the choral music drifting over from the village.

Just a short pleasant walk to the village that offers a public house, post office, village shop, cafes, renowned farm shop complex, along with the award winning Norfolk Riddle Restaurant and adjoining fish and chip shop.

This is a delightful spot. The cottage is well appointed and is a very nice space to spend time in....especially as we stayed with an older person for whom stairs would have been a challenge. Good quality furnishings etc. Excellent WiFi connectivity (despite some of the previous reviews comments.) Perfect location close enough to the coast but not amongst the crowds. Delightful front gatden and lovely to watch rabbits and other wildlife from the fields from the back garden. There were some minor improvements I am going to suggest to the owners directly but very happy to recommend Apple Tree Cottage.

Lovely property, but let down by owner. Minor niggles were, bad directions, welcome pack didn't include fresh produce, and restaurant recommendations included a number of closed down businesses. Major problem was antiquated TV system which failed after two days and owner's response was "well you got 2 days TV " "it's not my fault" Luckily Rural Retreats were excellent in dealing with our complaint. will use RR again (but not Apple Tree Cottage)

The location was beautiful and the cottage comfortable and well equipped, however we had insufficient hot water for three showers for the first day. The problem was fixed on the Saturday morning. We had a lovely holiday and very much enjoyed the tranquillity of Apple Tree Cottage.
